Numerical model for local kneading of glass fiber-reinforced beam

This paper presents an analysis of the deformations in hollow cross-sectional beams made of multilayer glass fiber-reinforced polymer at force application positions. A non-linear numerical a nalysis is conducted on a beam with a rectangular cross-section and familiar dimensions and material characteristics. Three beams with different spans that are all loaded with two concentrated forces are analyzed, where the distance of the forces from the supports is varied. The kneading deformations at the vicinity, where the two concentrated forces are applied, are monitored with regard to force increase. The results are shown in dimensionless diagrams, wherein the ratio of the actual and initial forces is related to the ratio of deformations at the force application points and mid-span.

Usporedba osnovnih perioda modela zgrada s armiranobetonskim zidovima s empirijskim izrazima

Usporedba osnovnih perioda modela zgrada s armiranobetonskim zidovima s empirijskim izrazima Izvorni znanstveni clanka Empirijski izrazi za procjenu osnovnih perioda su sastavni dio propisa za proracun seizmickih djelovanja te uglavnom ovise o visini, materijalu (celik, armirani beton) i nosivom sustavu(okvir, posmicni zidovi, itd.) građevine. Ovi izrazi su obicno nastali iz empirijskih podataka kroz analizu mjerenih osnovnih perioda postojecih građevina pod djelovanjem potresa. Provedena je parametarska studija na 480 modela armiranobetonskih zgrada s posmicnim zidovima s razlicitim ulaznim podacima: visina zgrade, broj raspona i omjer povrsine posmicnih zidova i tlocrtne povrsine zgrade. Cilj ovog istraživanja je provjeriti empirijske izraze razlicitih autora i seizmickih propisa u svrhu provjere tocnosti izraza kao pocetnih pretpostavki kod projektiranja potresno otpornih građevina. PRORAČUN PROTUPOŽARNE OTPORNOSTI DRVENIH KONSTRUKCIJA PREMA EURONORMI

Ovaj rad daje sažet prikaz proracuna protupožarne otpornosti drvenih konstrukcija prema Eurokodu 5 (EC5), tj. prema normi EN 1995-1-2. Ova norma oU ovom radu analizira se i vrjednuje proracunska sirina T-presjeka poprecnog nosaca podvožnjaka Vrata 1 na temelju proracuna i rezultata pokusnog opterecenja. Rebrasti gredni mostovi najcesce se proracunavaju kao stapni rostiljni sustavi. Uzdužni i poprecni nosaci se, zajedno sa sudjelujucim dijelom kolnicke ploce, promatraju kao T-presjeci. Njihova krutost ovisi o proracunskoj (sudjelujucoj) sirini T-presjeka koja ovisi o vise cimbenika, među ostalim i o opterecenju koje na mostu može biti razlicito po intenzitetu i položaju. U ovom radu se određuju proracunske sirine T-presjeka poprecnog nosaca u polju rostiljne rasponske konstrukcije pomocu numerickih proracuna po metodi konacnih elemenata za razlicite položaje pokusnog opterecenja. Na taj nacin određene proracunske sirine rabe se za proracun progiba na jednostavnim rostiljnim modelima. Proracunani progibi uspoređuju se s odgovarajucim progibima podvožnjaka izmjerenima pri pokusnom opterecenju i progibima proracunanima na jednostavnom rostiljnom modelu u kojemu je uporabljena proracunska sirina T- presjeka poprecnog nosaca u polju prema normi HRN ENV 1992-1-1.

Analysis of Shear Strength of Wood

This paper presents the analysis of different types of shear strength of wood which can differ very much due to its structure and different orientations of applied load. These combinations of wood structure and load orientations lead to different modes of fracture. The main aim of the paper is to find a relation among all types of shear strength of the wood and to reduce the number of shear tests. Furthermore, different shear strengths will be analyzed both experimentally and numerically, i.e. experimentally by testing appropriate specimens and numerically with the help of the finite element structural analysis solver Robot AutoDesk. The testing specimens will be loaded parallel and perpendicular to the wood fibres and the radial and tangential planes will be analyzed. The paper will also investigate the relation to other strengths of wood (i.e. tensile strength parallel and perpendicular to the fibres) in order to simplify the testing procedure for shear strength determination.
