Social Manufacturing is a novel manufacturing mode, which can introduced in the apparel industrial and other fashion industries for the mass customization, based on network, 3D fitting mirror and other technologies. In social manufacturing, the consumers are involved fully into the production process by the internet; the manufacturing equipments and the intelligent interactive service terminals (3D fitting mirrors) are online, forming the manufacture and service equipment network; to realize the social manufacturing, a powerful modern logistics system are needed to support the production and E-business. Therefore, the manufacture and service equipment network, mass-customization or mass-rent webs involving a large number of people, and modern logistics network are combined in the social manufacturing platform by using the network, cloud technology, and other technologies. in the near future everyone will need the novel manufacture mode and the traditional enterprises, such as apparel enterprises, will be transformed into the intelligent enterprises which can proactively perceive and respond the personalized demands of the large quantity of consumers, and realize the mass customization by the social manufacture cloud service platform.

Rapid development in mobile technologies, 3D printing and social networks has paved the way for the new phenomenon called Social manufacturing. Social manufacturing represents a paradigm shift in traditional manufacturing models; in social manufacturing, the role of customers changes from being passive to being fully active agents in the manufacturing of products. This shift allows for the opportunity to produce customized products according to the needs of every single customer in the society. The demand of consumers in the apparel industry is rapidly changing to becoming more personalized. Consequently, social manufacturing can dramatically contribute to customization in the apparel industry through the help of 3D printing. In this paper, we study how social manufacturing can redefine the entire value chain of the apparel industry .

With the development of rapid prototype 3D printing technology, social manufacturing era is coming too. The paper mainly introduces the framework of social manufacturing, which is able to perceive and influence the customers and satisfy the demand of mass customization. Under the framework, an evaluation system for garment enterprises is proposed to select the best supplier based on AHP and fuzzy comprehensive method. This method considers both qualitative and quantitative factors simultaneously. The systems validity and practicability have been verified in the Dongguan garment enterprises.

This paper mainly researches enterprise information integration. Firstly, middleware types are discussed. Then, information integration platform is discussed. Next, a kind of middleware solution for enterprise information integration is proposed where an information integration environment is firstly built. Additional middleware-tier is then placed on top of the existing middleware-tier, the connection between the integrated middleware and the agent service unit is done with thick adapters, and the message broker middleware is placed on top middleware. The last part is about some analysis and conclusions.

The fused deposition modeling (FDM) is one of the most attractive 3D printing product manufacturing processes. FDM fabricates prototypes by extruding a semi-molten polymer filament through a heated nozzle in a prescribed pattern onto a platform. As the material is deposited, it cools, solidifies, and bonds with the surrounding materials. The temperature distribution among polymer filaments in the FDM process determines the bonding quality, integrity and mechanical properties of the resultant prototypes. A thermal model of FDM has been developed in this paper. The non-linear behavior of thermal conductivity and of specific heat due to temperature changes and phase transformation is considered here. The temperature evolution and the formation of the modelled part are investigated by a finite element analysis method based on the continuous media theory. Through the analysis of the prototypes using acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) filaments, it is shown that the effect of modelling has a strong influence on thermal evolution by changing the thermal properties of the material.

The piezoelectric laminated curved beams are currently one of the most popular elements used in nano- or micro-electromechanical systems because of the fact that the piezoelectric driving parts are small, lightweight, and quick response. This article presents an analytical model of the piezoelectric laminated curved beams with variant curvature. And the influence of secondary converse piezoelectric effect on the deflection of the curved beams fully covered with piezoelectric actuators is investigated. Using the radius of curvature and the tangent slope angle of the laminated curved beam as the basic parameters, the quantities of rotation angle, radial, and tangential displacements are decoupled and expressed as harmonic functions. The results of the isotropic curved beams are compared with the existing solutions and the data show the validation of the present method. The presented method can be used to analyze the curved piezoelectric beams being any curve. Some closed-form solutions of circular beams fully covered with piezoelectric layers are presented. Two kinds of ply angle (0/θ) and (θ/−θ) are investigated in this article. The effects of aspect ratio, thickness ratio, and stacking sequence on the characters of the piezoelectric laminated circular beams with and without secondary converse piezoelectric effect are explored.

With the accelerated urbanization and the development of automobile industry, traffic congestion has become serious gradually for many metropolises. Thus, it is an important and extensive method in many countries to use the intelligent transportation systems (ITS) to control traffic and to induce vehicle flows so that road congestion may be mitigated and the traffic may be more efficient. As an important part of intelligent transportation, an intelligent route guidance system (IRGS) not only regulates traffic flow of every crossroads intersections to make full use of insufficient road infrastructure, but also reduces running distance and average waiting time for every driver to reach region traffic balance. This paper explores a design of IRGS and proposes a way to address the task decomposition of traffic guidance and path selection issues. Results from the simulation experiments suggest that IRGS with shortest path algorithm can achieve better network performance and increased traffic control system efficiency. The study provides theory and method guide for the development of real application system.

Material Management is the engine that drives its Supply Chain and Logistics of manufacturing enterprise or any other organization. With the economy development and technical progress, many Logistics are transforming from 1PL and 2PL and 3PL to 4PL and 5PL continuously, and many manufacturers are transforming from Mass Production to Mass Customization, and then to new manufacturing modes all the time, like Cloud Manufacturing, Social Manufacturing etc. So, Material Management should continuously apply the latest ICT & intelligent technologies or systems, like Barcode, RFID, IoT (Internet of Things ), GPS/BeiDou Navigation Satellite System, Cloud Computing , Big data , Parallel Control and Management , to realize its transformation and upgrade coordinately with its Supply Chain and Logistics.

This paper describes the definition and functions of materials classification and coding firstly, and several prevalent coding approaches are introduced. Next, the materials coding problems existing in power industry are analyzed and relevant research achievements are summarized. Typically, one giant power enterprise group, named as “G” power group, is used as a study case to specify its problems and the existing solution from the perspectives of materials coding management, and the application of its corresponding IT system. Based on current situation of the power enterprise group and its existing problems in materials coding field, some improvement suggestions and effective approaches are put forward for the performance improvement of materials classification and coding system, to reduce the material management costs and make more profits for whole power group.
