Teaching reforms are the object of research in Education. The 1920 reform of public teaching in the state of Sao Paulo was analyzed, led by Sampaio Doria, from a standpoint of legal prescriptions and its implementation in a specific reality, the Normal School of Piracicaba/SP. The implementation counted on a group of teachers, which is our privileged object of research. From such group, we learn the establishment of a power gradient producing social figuration out of recognized pedagogic, literary, artistic and political nationalistic domains. The power and figuration concepts proposed by Norbert Elias provide us with theoretical support. The 1920 reform, a network of interdependent people and its unfolding are analyzed in this article.

The objective of this study is to present the elements of the sportivization of the cultural practice of skateboarding (1960-1990), as knowledge for the understanding of the relation between the micro and the macro social and historical processes of skateboarding. We used the magazine Revista Tribo Skate as source of historical research for the sportiviza- tion of skateboarding in Brazil, the macro dimension, and for the micro dimension, the city of Piracicaba/SP, where we interviewed two collaborators based on the method of oral history. The results evidenced that the skateboarding has appeared to generate pleasant strong tensions, its leisure forms precede its sport form and, respecting the particularities, its macro and micro historical processes are interdependent.

O objetivo deste estudo foi identificar, mediar e problematizar os conceitos de esporte formados pelos alunos. A perspectiva da mediacao pedagogica, em especial as contribuicoes de FONTANA (2000) e leitura sociologica de BOURDIEU (1983), foram fundamentos teoricos para pensarmos os conceitos de esporte produzidos em aula. A pesquisa, caracterizada como participante, foi realizada com alunos de sextas e setimas series de uma Escola Estadual localizada na cidade de Sao Paulo. Os dados foram sistematizados em relatorios referentes as aulas mediadas pelo professor/pesquisador. A partir da mediacao pedagogica e da analise dos relatorios e possivel considerar que houve mudanca de pensamento dos estudantes em relacao ao fenomeno esportivo na direcao da natureza sociocultural.
