Abstract. The nuclear modification factor is derived using Tsallis non-extensive statistics in relaxation time approximation. The variation of the nuclear modification factor with transverse momentum for different values of the non-extensive parameter, q, is also observed. The experimental data from RHIC and LHC are analysed in the framework of Tsallis non-extensive statistics in a relaxation time approximation. It is shown that the proposed approach explains the

The spectrum of emitted gluons from the process g+g -> g+g+g has been evaluated by relaxing some of the approximations used in earlier works. The difference in the results from earlier calculations have been pointed out. The formula obtained in the present work has been applied to estimate physical quantities like equilibration rate of gluons and the energy loss of fast gluon in the gluonic plasma.

The effects of gluon radiation by charm quarks on the transport coefficients {\it e.g.} drag, longitudinal and transverse diffusion and shear viscosity have been studied within the ambit of perturbative quantum chromodynamics (pQCD) and kinetic theory. We found that while the soft gluon radiation has substantial effects on the transport coefficients of the charm quarks in the quark gluon plasma its effects on the equilibrium distribution function is insignificant.

We analytically investigate the thermodynamic variables of a hot and dense system in the framework of the Tsallis non-extensive classical statistics in the massless and in the massive cases. In addition to that, we study the effect of Tsallis Power Law distribution on the multi-particle production in the high-energy collisions. The effect of the Tsallis q parameter on the experimentally measured nuclear suppression factor has been investigated, and an attempt to describe the transverse momentum distribution of hadrons produced in high-energy collisions has been made.

We analytically investigate the thermodynamic variables of a hot and dense system, in the framework of the Tsallis non-extensive classical statistics. After a brief review, we start by recalling the corresponding massless limits for all the thermodynamic variables. We then present the detail of calculation for the exact massive result regarding the pressure -- valid for all values of the
