Identification of Discharged Oils into the Sea by the Thin Layer Chromatography and it's Fluorenscence Scanning Analysis.

Identification of discharged oils into the ser was carried out with the method of thin layer chromatography and its fluorenscence scanning analysis.Mercks activated silica gel plates with 0.25mm layer thickness was used in thin layer chromatography, and as the solvent for samples, methyl alcohol was used.As the developing solvent, mixed solvent contained CH3COOH, C2H5OH and i-C3H7OH were used, and their ratio is CH3COOH: C2H5OH: i-C3H7OH=15: 25: 60.The fluorescence scanning analysis was carried out by using Shimadzus Dual-Wave length TLC Scanner CS-910.The conclusion of experiments was as follows:(1) It is able to identify the kinds of imported crude oils by their TLC scanning pattern.(2) The scanning pattern of oils does not vary at least over about 15 days weathering terms.(3) This method may be applied to identify the similarity of oils in discharge accidents of oily water into the sea.

Studies on Identification of Discharged Oil into the Sea by Analysis of Vanadium Contents and Nickel Contents

The studies on identification of discharged oil into the sea were carried out with the analysis of vanadium contents, nickel contents and the ratio of vanadium/nickel (V/Ni).From the results, it was proved that: -(1) Analysis of vanadium contents, nickel contents and the ratio of V/Ni in oil may enable identification of the productionzone of imported crude oil.(2) Vanadium contents, nickel contents in oil and the ratio of V/Ni were little changed in weathering.(3) At the discharge accidents of oil into the sea, a kind of crude oil and similarity of oils can be estimated by the use of vanadium contents, nickel contents and the ratio of V/Ni.

高速ディーゼル燃料に規定されているセタン指数の実用化を計るために, これを図示化した.JIS規格K-2204に示されている計算式と本図との問には, セタン指数で最大±0.2以下の偏差をもつて一致する.しかし各種ベースの軽油について調べた結果, セタン指数はセタン価実測値と数字的に最大±2以下の偏差があるため, これを取引売買する際発火性をセタン指数で代替する場合には十分検討して決めなければならない。

Mixed Stability of Diesel Fuel Oil

ジーゼル燃料としていずれも良質の燃料油を混合したところ, 非常にスラッジ分が多くなつて使用上思わぬ障害を来したという話をしばしば耳にする。これは混合によつていわゆる燃料油の混合安定性が低下し, 加えて混合油類の組成, 性状および油中の水分並びに温度, 空気中の酸素, 湿分其の他の不純物などの作用によつて起る現象であり, 最近のごとく重油の品質が次第に低下する傾向にあるときには, 特に考慮を払わなければならない問題であると考える。筆者は数種の市販軽油を直溜重油および接触分解重油に各種割合で混合し, それらの混合油の安定性を中心に, これによつて起る諸現象についての実験結果を発表した。
