Theoretical Approaches in The Determination of Wall Pressures in Storage Structures

Depolama yapilari (yatay ve dusey) genellikle kohezyonsuz malzemelerin (hububat, komur, cevher vb.) depolandigi ve korundugu modern sistemlerden birisidir. Kompleks bir yapiya sahip olan depolama yapilari olumsuz durumlarin olusmamasi icin projeleme basinclarinin iyi hesaplanmasi gerekmektedir. Bu amacla depolarda urunun statik, doldurma ve bosaltma sonrasi cidarindaki yatay ve dusey basinclarin tahmin edilmesinde cesitli matematiksel esitlikler gelistirilmistir. Projeleme basinclari ile ilgili ilk matematiksel esitlik Janssen tarafindan gelistirilmistir. Bu esitlik temel alinarak farkli arastiricilar tarafindan farkli projeleme kriterlerini gozonune alan esitlikler ortaya konulmustur. Calisma kapsaminda depolama yapilarinda projeleme basinclarinin hesaplanmasinda kullanilan ve kabul goren kuramsal yaklasimlardan Janssen, Reimbert, Forester, Caqout, Airy, Pamelard, Sor, Rankine ve ASAE yontemleri aciklanmistir. Ayrica bu yontemler kullanilarak gunumuzde yaygin olarak celik silolarda kullanilan Eurocode ve Avustralya standartlarinin bazi bolumleri ozet olarak aciklanmistir.

Farklı Standartlara Göre Silo Cidarı Üzerindeki Gerilme Değişimlerinin ANSYS ile İncelenmesi

In this study, the optimal dimensions of the silo were investigated for barrel-type cylinder, conical outlet, steel construction silo which used in Tombul hazelnut storage in the Giresun province conditions. 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 ve 20 mm wall thickness for 1635 tons storage capacity silo were examined in the study. For this purpose, pressure loads acting on the silo wall surface (vertical, horizontal, friction traction pressure load) using Eurocode 1 and Australian standards were calculated for different wall thicknesses at filling and discharge conditions. This calculated pressure loads by entering in ANSYS finite element software program, stresses which occurring in different directions on the surface of wall was determined. In the study, it was determined that 10, 11 and 12 mm wall thickness were not reliable in terms of stresses caused vertical pressure load in the filling conditions. The optimum silo dimensions will not lead to any structural problem are emerging as the silo which has 13 mm wall thickness when considering storage capacity and the maximum von Mises stresses. This silo with barrel-type cylinder and conical outlet shows the most appropriate features in terms of engineering in Tombul hazelnut storage. At the result of the analysis according to Australian standard (AS 3774) of proposed this type of silo was observed to be reliable (in terms of pressure loads acting on the surface of the silo wall).
