Jet production in association with vector bosons or top quarks

U. Blumenschein

The LHC experiments ATLAS and CMS have measured V + jets and tt + jets final states over a large energy range in data collected between 2010 and 2012 at s = 7TeV and s = 8TeV. The results have been compared to pQCD calculations at NLO and have been used to validate novel Monte Carlo techniques.

A mobile data aquisition (MobiDAQ) was developed for the ATLAS central hadronic calorimeter (TileCal). MobiDAQ has been designed in order to test the functionalities of the TileCal front-end electronics and to acquire calibration data before the final back-end electronics were built and tested. MobiDAQ was also used to record the first cosmic ray events acquired by an ATLAS subdetector in the underground experimental area.

Limits on the mass of the lightest supersymmetric particle at LEP

U. Blumenschein

Abstract The results of searches for charginos, neutralinos and sleptons in data collected by the four LEP experiments up to center-of-mass energies of 209 GeV have been used to extract limits on the mass of the lightest neutralino within a constrained MSSM and the mSUGRA model.

SEARCH FOR ASSOCIATE CHARGINO NEUTRALINO PRODUCTION IN TRILEPTON FINAL STATES

U. Blumenschein

Searches have been performed for the trilepton decay signature from the associated production of the lightest chargino and the next-to-lightest neutralino in leptonic channels with (a) two electrons and a lepton, (b) an electron, a muon and a lepton (c) two muons and a lepton and (d) two like-sign muons. The searches use data taken with the DO detector at the Fermilab Tevatron proton-antiproton collider at a center-of-mass energy of 1.96 TeV corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 147 pb-1 to 249 pb-1.
