Klinisch-experimentelle Anmerkungen zur Synchronisationstherapie

Ute Koch; Claus Herberhold; B. Helpap; M. Thelen; R. Stiens

SummaryAccording to our experiences in the chemotherapeutical and radiological treatment of head and neck carcinomas by cell synchronization strict management advises merely are to support.First cell kinetics measurements demonstrate different cell cycles in different tumors although similarities in S and G2 cycles are to be observed. Beyond this it has to be calculated with the possibility of changing of cell kinetics in the therapeutic course against the pretherapeutic values.Regarding the variety of open questions in cell kinetics the accordance with cell kinetic parameter in tumor management seems to be necessary. For clinical applicability inspite of changing cell phases we established a system including the time values of all cell phases to subdivide the G1-phase in that way, that in every day one chemotherapeutical and radiological treatment is possible.

Simultane i.a. Infusion eines Cytostaticums und Natrium-Fluoreszeins zur Darstellung des Perfusionsgebietes

H.-J. Straehler-Pohl; Hans Wilhelm Pau; Ute Koch

SummaryIntraarterial chemotherapy of tumours of the head and neck is performed with the aim of selective perfusion of the tumour area, usually located in the blood supply area of the lingual and/or facial artery. With fluorescein added to the intraarterial infusion of methotrexate the perfused skin resp. mucous membrane area can be controlled and documented using an excitation- and barrierfilter (blue and yellow filter).By means of photo sequences a notably higher fluorescence in the perfusion area could be proved during the i.a. infusion, especially by selective perfusion of the tumour artery. At the end of the infusion the fluorescence disappeared very soon. From our findings we conclude that it is possible, to get a higher drug concentration in the perfused tissue during an i.a. infusion.

Klinischer Erfahrungsbericht über die Wirksamkeit der Tonsillektomie bei Hauterkrankungen

Hans Wilhelm Pau; H. H. Schrooten; Ute Koch

Ultraschalldiagnostik beim Sero-Mucotympanon

Hans Wilhelm Pau; Ute Koch; H. G. Trier

SummaryExperimental and clinical investigations were done to use ultrasonics for diagnosing middle-ear effusions. In normal ear-drums, ultrasonograms, performed through the fluid-filled auditory passage, show only the echo of the tympanic membrane, because of the nearly total reflexion of ultrasonics by air. In fluid-filled ear-drums, we find a characteristic 2nd echo from the medial wall of the tympanon. — A method is described, to do ultrasonograms under visual observation of the tissue examined.
