A method was developed for the preparation of difluoronitroethoxymethylsilanes of general formula (O2NCF2CH2O)nSi(CH3)4−n by reacting difluoronitroethanol with the appropriate methylchlorosilanes, and some of their properties were studied.

1. n nMethods were developed for the preparation of difluoronitroalkyl acrylates and difluoronitroalkyl methacrylates. n n n n n2. n nSome of the conditions for the radical polymerization (using UV irradiation and heat-peroxide initiation) of the obtained compounds were studied, and it was shown that the difluoronitroalkyl acrylates polymerize with the formation of viscous oils, while the corresponding methacrylates polymerize with the formation of solid polymers. n n n n n3. n nSome of the physicochemical characteristics of poly(difluoronitroethyl methacrylate) were determined.
