1-Ethylthio-2R-isoindoles. An example of nonsynchronous addition in the diels-alder reaction

The previously unknown 1-ethylthio-2R-isoindoles have been obtained by modifying the corresponding isoindol-1-ones. The reaction of these isoindoles with N-arylmaleimide derivatives has been investigated. A rare case of nonsynchronous addition in the Diels-Alder reaction has been found.

1H-thiazolo[3,2-b]-1,2,4-triazolium salts

The alkylation of 4H-triazole-5-thiones with α-halo ketones takes place at the sulfur atom. 1H-Thiazolo[3,2-b]-1,2,4-triazolium — a new heteroaromatic cation — derivatives were obtained by intramolecular cyclization of the resulting β-keto sulfides.
