The possibility of the resonant method application for water solution permittivity measurement in 54-78 GHz frequency range is described. The main attention was given to water solutions with small impurity concentrations, for which the standard microwave methods are low efficient. It is shown, that physical mechanism of resonant absorption is based on the eigen. oscillation excited in the capillary with water solution.

The capability of mechanical frequency tuning of Gunn diode self-oscillator by the both metal and dielectric pin inserted into the partially shielded quasi-optical dielectric resonator is considered. The resonators eigen frequencies obtained theoretically and experimentally are compared with oscillation frequencies

Proposes a method of estimation of land troposphere refraction using radio setting of navigation satellites of the GPS. Presented design ratio that tie together satellite viewing angle and effective gradients of refraction coefficient in raying troposphere layer is obtained for the equivalent of an Earth radius model. The results of calculation are compared to experimental data which were obtained by satellite setting angles.

The results of experimental study of backscatter spectral - polarization features from above-water and surface objects are presented. Investigations were carried out with coherent systems both with the pulse and CW modes of millimeter and centimeter wave bands (from 10sm to 2mm). The informative features are concerned with modulation both the amplitude and Doppler translation are condition on modulation of scattered signal at the stroke rate for the oared boat and the frequency modulation concerned with hands and lags move of moving man as well are ascertained. For the scattering from the object body the small level of depolarization factor of the scattered signal is typical. Ascertained that for the coincident by frequency spectral components of the signal scattered from the objects on orthogonal polarizations the high values of cross correlation factor is typical.

The method of the capillary-waveguide resonance for measurement of dielectric characteristics of wine over the range of frequencies 54–78 GHz was used. The influence of concentrations of the alcohol in wine on frequency, Q-factor and depth of the energy absorption at resonance was investigated.

The method of estimation of the turbulent pulsations of the air weights velocity in the storm clouds by the spectrums of the scattered signals is produced in this project. Using the first moment of the characteristics of the scattered signal spectrum one can estimate shifted characteristics of the air stream, and using the second moment one can estimate velocity spread of the scatterers strictly connected with the dispersion of the stream fluctuations inside the cloud.

Comparison of signals from TV centers on over the horizon route in a penumbra region and radiation from satellites of a global navigation system is carried out. Classification signatures are proposed which allow forecasting troposphere refraction state on propagation route at a signal change receiving from TV center or a satellite.

A possibility has been demonstrated experimentally that directions of moving objects relative to radars may be determined according to the sign of the derivative of the scattered signal crosscorrelation function on parallel and orthogonal polarizations.
