Integrated reflector-shutter module for work with unpolarized radiation

Electroopt ical r e f l ec to r shu t t e r modules; employed for Q-switching resonator cavities of l ase rs with unpolarized radiation, consist either of a pai r of c rossed po la r i ze r s with an electrooptical c rys ta l and end ref lec tor interposed between them or of a polar izer , an electrooptical crystal , and a quadri lateral totalref lect ion p r i s m rotating the plane of polar izat ion of the radiation through 90 ~ [1]. In some cases a quar te r wavelength plate is used in combination with an end ref lec tor [2], instead of the quadri lateral p r i sm.
