Abstract Basic statements of the nonlocal electrodynamics of Josephson junctions between two different superconductors are formulated. In the limit of strong nonlocality when the Josephson penetration depth is much smaller than the London length, the solution describing a travelling 4π-kink corresponding to the propagation of an Abrikosov-like vortex with a regular core carrying two magnetic flux quanta is obtained.

Abstract The theory demonstrates the possibility to study analytically the vortex self-consistent structures which appear in a plasma under the conditions intrinsic to the Weibel instability. For these structures the explosion-like solutions were obtained which correspond to the formation of a singularity of the magnetic field during a finite time interval.

Abstract We discuss the role of excited states of a neutral gas which is photoionized in the regime of the barrier suppression ionization when the photoelectrons of the created plasmas remain in its memory on the intra-atomic electron distribution. We obtain the strong enhancement of the inverse Bremsstrahlung absorption of the pump field radiation and the extremely strong enhancement of the third harmonic radiation with the increase of the principal quantum number of excited states of atomic electrons.

Abstract A simple theory of striction associated with displacive phase transitions is presented and shown to be analogous to the spin-fluctuation theory of the magneto-volume effect. It is argued that a new class of nonmagnetic invar materials undergoing second-order structural phase transition is likely to exist.

Abstract New self-localized solutions of the equation δψ − ψ + ψ 3 = 0 are given which correspond to (a) periodic chains of the plane nonlinear vortex-type structures of an incompressible fluid, (b) self-localized structures of the laser beam filamentation with complicated symmetry, and (c) the spiral filamentation structures.

Abstract The combination scattering of the probing radiation in laser spherical heating experiments performed with the Kalmar laser system was investigated. The second harmonic of an Nd laser was used for plasma probing. The frequencies 3 2 ω 0 , 5 2 ω 0 and 3ω 0 (where ω 0 is the frequency of the Nd laser) in the plasma radiation spectrum were measured. The possibility to determine the plasma turbulence spectrum from the scattered light is demonstrated.

Abstract It is shown that the influence of the thermal phonons on the Curie constant, on the temperature dependence of the magnetization, on the specific heat and on the baric derivative of the Curie temperature is anomalously strong in the Invar alloys Fe 72 Pt 28 and Fe 65 Ni 35 due to the magnetoelasticity.

Abstract We present an approach to the thermal magnetic properties of itinerant electron ferromagnets that takes account of spin and phonon fluctuations simultaneously. The comparison of both fluctuation contributions is given in the case of the Invar alloy Fe 0.65 Ni 0.35 . For this alloy we demonstrate the necessity of taking into account the changes due to the magnetization not only of the bulk modulus but also of the shear modulus in the description of phonon fluctuations and also the possibility of the description of spin fluctuations in the frame of the paramagnon model of a weak itinerant ferromagnet.

Abstract The main aspects of the self-consistent fluctuation-phonon approach to the theory of ferromagnetism are discussed. Temperature dependences of the magnetic properties of typical ferromagnetic metals are elucidated.

Abstract The transport coefficients characterizing the electrical current and heat flux in a plasma with ion-sound turbulence are obtained. A new point of view on the anamalous collision frequency is presented.
