Mobile Ad Hoc wireless network for pre- and post-emergency situations in nuclear power plant

Robert E. Hiromoto; Anatoliy Sachenko; Volodymyr Kochan; Vasyl Koval; Volodymyr Turchenko; Oleksiy Roshchupkin; Vasyl Yatskiv; Kostiantyn Kovalok

This paper describes the mobile Ad-Hoc (wireless) network (MANET) for emergency scenarios in nuclear power plant (NPP). Authors proposed the system with such properties as flexibility and a self-forming and self-healing network topology that dynamically adjusts to the moving configuration per each intermediate routing node. It is also proposed to integrate MANET and Bluetooth-like technologies to create an unmanned formation of autonomous quadcopters that provides both indoor and outdoor communications coverage inside and outside of the NPP.

Wireless sensor networks based on modular arithmetic

Jingliang Chen; Vasyl Yatskiv; Anatoly Sachenko; Jun Su

The authors propose the method for data coding in wireless sensor networks (WSN) based on the transformation of the residue number system and multipath routing. It enables to utilize efficiently the bandwidth of communication channels as well as reduce message delivery time. It is explored the ant algorithm to search an optimal route of data transmission in the wireless sensor network. There is introduced a limitation for the communication radius of the wireless unit that shorts a number of the search decision modes and improves the accuracy of the wireless network simulation. The correspondent software is designed, it allowes exploring the dynamics of finding the optimal transmission path in WSN in case of different algorithm settings, and exploring the impact of the elite ants on the accuracy of the found path.

Multiple error detection and correction based on modular arithmetic correcting codes

Vasyl Yatskiv; Taras Tsavolyk; Hu Zhengbing

In this paper we proposed correcting codes-based on modular arithmetic - to improve the data transmission robustness in wireless sensor networks. We developed a new method and algorithm for the detection and correction of multiple errors. The codes are characterized by high correction characteristics as well as the simplified coding procedure.

Improved method of ant colonies to search independent data transmission routes in WSN

Su Jun; Nataliya Yatskiv; Anatoly Sachenko; Vasyl Yatskiv

Ant algorithm to search an optimal route of data transmission in the wireless sensor network was explored. There was introduced a limitation for the communication radius of the wireless unit that shorted a number of the search decision modes and improved the simulation accuracy of the wireless network. Correspondent software was designed and the dynamics and the decision search time was investigated for a given network topology.

A Low-Cost Network Controller for Security Systems

Pavlo Bykovyy; Ihor Maykiv; Iryna Turchenko; Orest Kochan; Vasyl Yatskiv; George Markowsky

This paper describes the design of a low-cost network controller that can be used to interface sensors to security systems. This controller can use either a two-wired network interface with reconfigurable structure or an open optical channel for data communication with the network server. This design reduces the cost of data communication channels between sensors and the controller.

Modified Method of Noise-Immune Data Transmission in Wireless Sensors Networks

Anatoly Sachenko; Vasyl Yatskiv; Roman Krepych

This paper presents an approach of noise-immune data transmission in wireless sensor networks using Frequency-Hopping Spread Spectrum. Redundancy of Residue Number System codes is explored, and adaptive errors correction system is proposed without code algorithm changing by reduction of information modules number or increasing of reference modules number.

Data encoding in residue number system

Anatoly Sachenko; Vasyl Yatskiv; Roman Krepych; Andriy Karachka

This paper presents an approach of data encoding algorithm and forming of electronic digital signature in the residue number system, in what cryptography stability depends not only on length and numbers of the keys, but also from the chosen system of bases.
