On the Pomeranchuk Singularity in Asymptotically Free Theories

Victor S. Fadin; E. A. Kuraev; L.N. Lipatov

Abstract We calculate the high-energy amplitude in the spontaneously broken Yang-Mills model within the leading logarithmic approximation, and find out that the vector meson is reggeised whereas the Pomeranchon is a fixed branch point located at the right hand from j = 1. The asymptotic freedom alters the situation in this model significally.

BFKL pomeron in the next-to-leading approximation

Victor S. Fadin; L.N. Lipatov

Abstract We find one-loop correction to the integral kernel of the BFKL equation for the total cross section of the high energy scattering in QCD and calculate the next-to-leading contribution to anomalous dimensions of twist-2 operators near j =1.

The QCD pomeron with optimal renormalization

Stanley J. Brodsky; Victor S. Fadin; V. Kim; L.N. Lipatov; Grigorii B. Pivovarov

AbstractIt is shown that the next-to-leading order (NLO) corrections to the QCD Pomeron intercept obtained from the Balitsky-Fadin-Kuraev-Lipatov (BFKL) equation, when evaluated in non-Abelian physical renormalization schemes with Brodsky-Lepage-Mackenzie (BLM) optimal scale setting, do not exhibit the serious problems encountered in the

Inelastic processes in high energy quantum electrodynamics

V.N. Baier; Victor S. Fadin; V. A. Khoze; E.A. Kuraev

Abstract Gluon Reggeization can significantly simplify the calculation of subleading terms for parton distributions at small x , where x is the longitudinal momentum fraction carried by a parton. We check the Reggeization in elastic scattering processes of QCD at large energy and fixed momentum transfer . For amplitudes of these processes with gluon quantum numbers and negative signature in the t channel s -channel discontinuities are calculated in the two-loop approximation. The two-loop correction to the gluon trajectory is expressed in terms of these discontinuities. Remarkable cancellations lead to the independence of the trajectory on the properties of the scattered particles, confirming the gluon Reggeization.
