Strategy Extraction for Mobile Embedded Control Systems Apply the Multi-agent Technology

Vilem Srovnal; Bohumil Horak; Radim Bernatík; Václav Snášel

Mobile embedded systems belong among the typical applications of the distributed systems control in real time. An example of a mobile control system is the robotic system. The proposal and realization of such distributed control system represents a demanding and complex task of real time control. In the process of robot soccer game application extensive data is accumulated. A reduction of such data is a possible win in game strategy. SVD decomposition of matrixes is used in data reduction.

Strategy Description for Mobile Embedded Control Systems Exploiting the Multi-agent Technology

Vilem Srovnal; Bohumil Horak; Václav Snášel; Jan Martinovič; Pavel Krömer; Jan Platos

Mobile embedded systems are a part of standard applications of distributed system control in real time. An example of a mobile control system is the robotic system. The software part of a distributed control system is realized by decision making and executive agents. The algorithm of agents cooperation was proposed with the control agent on a higher level. The algorithms for agents realized in robots are the same. Real---time dynamic simple strategy description and strategy learning possibility based on game observation is important for discovering opponents strategies and searching for tactical group movements, simulation and synthesis of suitable counter-strategies. For the improvement of game strategy, we are developing an abstract description of the game and propose ways to use this description (e.g. for learning rules and adapting team strategies to every single opponent).

Multicriterial decision-making in multiagent systems

Petr Tučník; Jan Kožaný; Vilem Srovnal

The main purpose of this article is to present multi-criteria decision-making principle as a tool providing the agent with autonomous decision-making capacity. The advantages and disadvantages of this principle are described on the example of the robot soccer game, together with the future perspective of this approach. The control system for robot soccer game is designed with consideration of using a multi-criteria decision-making. As a quickly changing environment, the robot soccer game provides an excellent testing ground for such experimental approach.

Intelligent Car Control and Recognition Embedded System

Vilem Srovnal; Zdenek Machacek; Radim Hercik; Roman Slaby

There is presented control system design with autonomous control elements focused on field of automotive industry in this paper. The main objective of this document is description of the control and monitoring system with integrated image processing from the camera. The images obtained from the camera are used for recognizing routing and traffic situation. During system proposal we focused our attention on integration of components for the car localization using GPS and navigation system as well. The implemented embedded system communicates with other car control units using CAN bus and industrial Ethernet. The communication interface between driver and car integrated system is carried out by process visualization on the LCD touch panel.

Robot Disassembly Process Using Multi-agent System

Ales Pavliska; Vilem Srovnal

Increased industrialization and new markets have led to an accumulation of used technical consumer goods, which results in greater exploitation of raw materials, energy and landfill sites. In order to reduce the use of natural resources conserve precious energy and limit the increase in waste volume. The linear progression from production through consummation and finally to landfill sites must be stopped either by the product reuse, the parts reuse or the material recycling. The application of disassembly techniques is the first step towards this prevention of waste. These techniques form a reliable and clean approach: noble or high-graded recycling. This paper presents a multi agent system for disassembly process, which is implemented in a computer-aided application for supervising of the disassembling system: the Interactive Intelligent Interface for Disassembling System.

Electronic embeddes system applications

Vilem Srovnal; Marek Penhaker

Embedded system is a combination of hardware and software together integralform part of a larger arrangement, machinery or apparatus. Most of these are part of the control device, so is also known as embedded control system. Embedded systems provide larger systems, which are part of, the necessary intelligence. Embedded systems are often designed to be able operational without human intervention and be able to respond to events in real time. Embedded systems can radically change the way humans interact with their surroundings in conjunction with a number of units and sensors, which can provide the information captured, shared and processed in entirely new ways. Their extensive use and integration into daily use products are significantly reflected in the development of information technology. Use embedded systems across the company completely above the previous milestones in the information revolution.

Security and Reliability of Data Transmissions in Biotelemetric System

Martin Stankus; Marek Penhaker; Vilem Srovnal; Martin Cerny; Vladimir Kasik

Secure and reliable data transmissions are of vial importance in today’s biotelemetric systems. Particularity of biotelemetric data puts special requirements on real biotelemetric system regarding data confidentiality, transport channel reliability, transport latency and latency jitter. This article describes some of conclusions acquired in development of real biotelemetric system using off the shelf embedded hardware technology, namely ARM microcontrollers, FRAM memory and dedicated ZigBee chipsets with emphasis on reliability and security of data transfer. Described biotelemetric system is partitioned into logical parts that communicate using custom data protocols. Devices participating in biotelemetric system use Zig- Bee and Ethernet networks as underlying structure for secure and reliable data communication.

Application of Multi-agents in Control of Hydrogen Powered Car to Optimize Fuel Consumption

Bohumil Horak; Jiri Koziorek; Vilem Srovnal

Mobile embedded systems belong among typical applications of the distributed systems control in real time. An example of a mobile control system is the hydrogen powered prototype car control system. The design and realization of such distributed control system represent demanding and complex task of real time control for minimization of race car fuel consumption. The design and realization of distributed control system, mention above, is prepared for testing as a complex laboratory task. The control system software uses multi-agent technology with dynamic mutual negotiation of mobile system parts. The real hardware and software model is also important motivation for extended study.

Heterogeneous Interconnection of the QNX Systems and PLC in Distributed Control Systems

Jiří Kotzian; Vladimir Kasik; Vilem Srovnal

Abstract In the following article the project of solution of distributed control system is described in which the operating system QNX in the connection with industrial bus CAN and industrial controllers PLC is used. Two ways of control system project are discussed there. The first one makes use of industrial computers of the PC type and industrial buses with intelligent sensors and actuators, the second project includes in this network also the industrial controllers PLC. With the interconnection of both possibilities we obtain the third solution which provides the advantages of both previous ones what is the high computing capacity of industrial computer and the capability of programmable controller to work in real time.

FLYSYS – FLIGHT EMBEDDED CONTROL SYSTEM FOR ULTRA-LIGHT AIRPLANE

Jiri Kotzian; Vilem Srovnal

Abstract This paper presents the design of an embedded control and monitoring system for small sport and ultra-light airplanes. The focus is on the systems structure and a description of module architecture. The project is aimed at reducing the number of accidents. There are a lot of ultra-light airplanes with no measurement units in the Czech Republic. A low cost flight control and monitoring system is the best solution. Ultra-light airplane is a very nice example of a mechatronic design and its realization.
