Experimental Analysis of the Operational Loads on Agricultural Machine

Pavel Syrovátka; Vojtěch Dynybyl

This article deals about experimental analysis of the operational loads on the agricultural machine in real conditions. The goal of this work is to gain boundary conditions which stress frame, joints, screw connections, bearings and other parts of agricultural machines.

Design and Implementation of Testing Stand for Gearboxes of Railway Vehicles

Jakub Chmelař; Karel Petr; Vojtěch Dynybyl; Jan Křepela

Published paper summarizes development of unique testing stand for experimental testing of railway vehicle gearboxes under dynamic impact and torque load. There is presented a description of design of main parts. Paper also previews the process of implementation and first run-in tests including figures from tuning process and a picture of final design.

FEM Simulation of Flank Breakage on Tooth of Gears and Experimental Photos

Karel Petr; Vojtěch Dynybyl; Martin Dub

This article deals with the reasons for gear failure—Flank breakage on tooth of spur gears with helical and straight involute gears. Gear flank breakage can be observed on edge zone-hardened gears. The creation of flank and tooth breakage are described in this article. In the article are also described FEM simulation of this gear failure and short photo documentation from real load tests on mechanically closed stand for testing of gearing with helical gears.

Wrapping Machine with Integrated Manipulator

František Starý; Vojtěch Dynybyl; Jiří Mrázek

Goal of a project solved with company Pragometal, s.r.o. is to create a new design of integrated wrapping palletizer. This machine will have new design properties such as integrated manipulation with goods into carrying structure of wrapping machine, new controlling system, new conception of running of roll and device for ending and welding of film. Newly design machine is based on unique join of two separated machines (palletizing and wrapping) into one workplace. This integration requires high demands on precision of kinematic, preliminary and checking calculations of individual machine components. Components of carrying structure and machine are designed with help of FEM calculations. These calculations are experimentally verified on real prototype of machine before series production is started. This verification is needed to ensure demanded operating reliability and life of newly designed machine.

Overview on the Clinched Joint Method

P. Maly; Vojtěch Dynybyl; Jiří Sojka; František Lopot

This article aims to give the general overview of the recent state in the problematic of joining thin-walled products. Clinched joint represents one of the technologies that are used for connecting sheet-metal parts into a final assembly. Characterization of the technology, different types and possible application of the joints are also introduced in the text.

Investigation of Tram Gearbox Hinge Behaviour

Martin Dub; J. Kolar; František Lopot; Vojtěch Dynybyl; Ondřej Berka

During the operation of trams in cities the chassis are dynamically loaded through acceleration, deceleration, passage curves and evidently by the roughness of the rail track. These added dynamic loads can significantly increase wearing of the chassis components and tram drive. The aim of this analysis is the investigation of stress state and motions of gearbox hinge. For this purpose, strain gauges and optical system Qualisys is used. Special type of strain gauges arrangement for measuring tension and bend is designed. Acquired data are processed in software Matlab and in user interface of the Qualisys software.

Torsional Characteristics Measurement of a Gearbox

Martin Dub; Ondřej Berka; František Lopot; František Starý; Vojtěch Dynybyl

Torsional characteristics of the gearboxes are important for kinematic and dynamic behaviour of the whole drive train, especially the resonances. Measured values are used as an input for further dynamic calculations. The measurement of the torsional stiffness and backlash is carried out. For this purpose the incremental rotary sensors and magnetic sensor of position are used. The results shown the behaviour of the torsional stiffness of the gearbox during loading. Furthermore the backlash of the gearbox is measured.

Experimental Analysis of Planetary Transmission Load Sharing

Ondřej Berka; Martin Dub; František Lopot; Vojtěch Dynybyl

This paper is focused on determination of load sharing in planetary transmission during the test and usual operation. Load sharing is one of examined items in transmission. That is investigation of power flow uniformity through satellites in planetary transmission.

Clinched Joint Tensile Test

Pavel Malý; František Lopot; Vojtěch Dynybyl; Jiří Sojka

This paper describes the experimental shear test of clinched connection of two sheet metal plates. The force-displacement characteristic was obtained using the set of six testing specimens. Also the properties of the clinched joint were identified and were used in the following work including simulation methods and calculations.
