Speaking Personally--With Hal Markowitz.

Hal Markowitz is a veteran distance educator whose experience in the field is both deep and broad. Building on bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the University of Florida and his doctorate at Columbia University, he served in leadership roles in several professional organizations and directed distance education programs in both the developed and the developing world. Now a retired professor, he describes himself as an international person in an international field. Von Pittman has worked in distance education at four major state universities. He is approaching retirement and is happy to report that he has written his last strategic plan.
