The proton decay of the g92 analogue resonance in 209Bi

P. Richard; William George Weitkamp; W. R. Wharton; H. Wieman; P. von Brentano

Abstract Angular distributions to 18 states in 208Pb populated by 208Pb(p,p′)208Pb were measured at an incident energy corresponding to the g 9 2 resonance in 209Bi. Total inelastic widths are extracted and some tentative spin assignments are made.

Proton-channel analog resonances and weak coupling in the 206Tl(d, p)206Tl reaction☆

W. R. Wharton; R.A. Hinrichs; G.W. Phillips; J. G. Cramer

Abstract Proton resonance structure was observed in the 205Tl(d, p) reaction at single-particle energies for out-going protons leading to all strongly excited states below 3 MeV excitation in 206Tl. Decay of the isobaric analog of the 207Tl ground state was not observed.

Determination of the total widths of the single-particle analog resonances in 209Bi

P. Von Brentano; W.K. Dawson; C.F. Moore; P. Richard; W. R. Wharton; H. Wieman

Abstract Proton inelastic scattering excitation functions to various final states in 208Pb which resonate strongly at one analog resonance have been fitted by a five parameters formula. For each of the seven observed single-particle analog resonance in 209Bi consistent values for the total width, Γ, and resonance energy, E0, were found.
