VALORAÇÃO DE DANOS AMBIENTAIS EM CORPOS HÍDRICOS: O CASO DO ASSOREAMENTO DO RIBEIRÃO TAQUARUÇU GRANDE NO MUNICÍPIO DE PALMAS-TO.

O objetivo do presente trabalho e medir os custos da Estacao de Tratamento de Agua (ETA 06) devido aos processos de assoreamento do Ribeirao Taquarucu Grande no municipio de Palmas –TO. Para valorar esses danos, utilizou-se a metodologia de valoracao ambiental denominada custo-reposicao. Como resultado, pode-se observar que os principais fatores condicionantes do processo de assoreamento sao: a implantacao, o constante trafego de veiculos nas rodovias TO – 030 e TO – 020, a ocupacao antropica na bacia, bem como o desrespeito as areas de protecao ambiental - APA’s - dispostas em suas margens. Este artigo apresenta a aplicacao da metodologia do Planejamento Estrategico Situacional (PES) na Pro Reitoria de Avaliacao e Planejamento (PROAP), e os primeiros resultados deste processo. Entende-se que e necessario ressaltar que este planejamento deve ser dinâmico, e de um modo geral adaptar-se a dinâmica do ambiente interno e externo, e de modo especial a dinâmica das pessoas. Por este motivo tao importante quanto a realizacao do planejamento e seu monitoramento a fim de promover ajustes que aumentem a capacidade de realizar sua visao de futuro.

Institutional change and competitiveness in the productive chain of medicinal plants in Brazil

O artigo tem como objetivo compreender como o processo de individuacao na cultura brasileira vem se desenvolvendo historicamente e quais sao seus rebatimentos sobre o desenvolvimento economico e social brasileiro, por meio da analise especifica de uma das representacoes coletivas fundamentais da sociedade: a formacao religiosa. A abordagem hermeneutica que visa a percepcao de fragmentos na vida cotidiana brasileira foi o eixo metodologico fundamental do trabalho. O catolicismo instaurado no Brasil pela instituicao da escravatura e sua contradicao com a liberdade e a igualdade cristas nao fixou fortes lacos de hierarquia e de solidariedade no processo de individuacao no Brasil colonial, e isso trouxe tracos de desigualdade e inibicao da solidariedade e da capacidade de iniciativa ao nosso modelo social e economico.

Competitividad y cambio institucional en la cadena de producción de las plantas medicinales en Brasil

O presente estudo tem como objetivo analisar a eficiencia das acoes de controle e combate a incendios nos municipios do Estado do Tocantins. Para isso, aplique-se ou modelo de Analise de Envelopamento de Dados (DEA), retornos constantes, orientacao para entrada e saida. Entre os municipios analisados (101), apenas 5 apresentaram 100% de eficiencia (Benchmarking), ou seja, utilizaram os insumos de forma otimizada. O modelo mostra um padrao de gasto per capita por desempenho. Assim, os municipios nao sao compativeis com uma vantagem das despesas per capita por unidade de desempenho, contribuindo para reduzir o numero de surtos de incendios.
