Purpose - For this research, the concept of sustainability had been divided into two different perspectives which include the financial sustainability performance (economics aspect) and non financial sustainability performance (environment and social aspect). Design/methodology/approach – A survey method was employed due to the reason that it is the most appropriate research design to obtain personal and social facts, beliefs, and attitude on a large scale. Since the data of analysis is done at the company level, the unit of analysis for this research is the construction stakeholder’s organization. Findings – The result of this study shows that the adoption level of financial sustainability is better than non financial sustainability. Originality / value – This paper attempts to identify the current level of sustainable construction performance among the Malaysian construction stakeholders.

The construction industry is one of the contributor toward sustainability of a country’s economy. However, there are some issues that need to be faced in this industry that are including construction waste management resulting from the development activities. This issue become more serious when the industrial stakeholders especially in developing countries have lack of awareness in construction waste management practices. Some of industry stakeholders do not realize that proper waste management will increase the project performance. Therefore, waste management practices among industry stakeholders need to be improved towards better environmental quality.

Project Management Consultancy (PMC) is part of the management oriented procurement method in which a sole consultant is hired by the client to deal with the contactors in place of the client. Appointing contractors in this method or approach looks to be interesting as client could play a pivotal role in evaluating and selecting the supplier/contractor for the work package. In some cases, client gives the authority for the PMC to hire the supplier/contractor of their choice while in some cases the client is the one who made the decision. This research paper seeks to investigate the dilemma arises from this situation and for the purpose of this research, a real case study was studied to assess the impacts of such dilemma to the performance of the project. Recommendations on how to tackle the dilemma will also be addressed in the later part of this research paper.

Based on the feedback received, on average, a third of respondents said they currently have a lotto benefit from the use of reduce and reuse. In addition, they also agreed that the existing policies help and support the min carrying out the reduce and reuse practices. Respon...
