Exergy Analysis for LNG Refrigeration Cycle

The compression process of LNG accounts for a large part of the total energy which the huge LNG liquefaction ship consumes, and the account is increasing constantly, with the continuous development and application of natural gas. In order to improve energy efficiency, the exergy analysis is done to the refrigeration cycle which the LNG ship adopts. A conclusion is drawn after the exergy analysis to the refrigeration cycle, that the exergy efficiency of the gas booster compressor is the least, the heat-exchange equipment the biggest, and throttle valve between them. Through aggregate analysis of exergy efficiency of three parts, a proposal can be drawn to optimizing the application of the LNG liquefaction ship, that to improve the performance of the compressor coefficient and to improve the circulation structure, can significantly improve the systeme xergy efficiency, which provides a reliable basis for reconstructing energy-saving technological.
