Treating Wastewater Containing Nickel, Chromium, Zinc and Copper by ferrite process

The ferrite process has been used in the treatment of wastewater containing Nickel, Chromium, Zinc and Copper in this paper. The operation parameters of wastewater treatment were also studied. Based on the experiment, optimum condition in terms of pH and dosage of FeSO4 were obtained. The concentration of Nickel, total Chromium, Zinc and Copper were less than 1.0mg/L, 1.5mg/L, 2.0mg/L, and 0.5mg/L after treatment respectively. The quality of effluent could reach the discharging standard of national draining the polluted water.

The Performance of a Two-Stage BAF Treating Mature Landfill Leachate with Different Carbon Source and HRT

Mature landfill leach ate, containing high concentration of nitrogen, and low ratio of C/N, is difficult for biological treatment. In this paper, the leach ate treatment of Jiangmen Landfill Site was studied. There is new requirement of the Standard for Pollution Control on the Landfill Site(GB16889-2008) of effluent TN concentration, after the processes of “SBR-Fenton-BAF”. Two-stage BAF was carried out in the pilot plant study to improve the old treatment processes. The influent of this pilot was the effluent of Fenton process with TN concentration was 120~200 mg • L-1. The efficiency of various carbon source for nitrogen removal was of the following order: methanol> glucose>sucrose. By the conditions of influent added with methanol as external carbon source and HRT was 7h, TN concentration of the effluent was less than 40 mg • L-1, reach to the new discharge standards after treatment.
