Research of high power-density permanent magnet synchronous motor and driving system

This paper gives the research of the design for the high power-density permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM)[1] and its driving system. Firstly, it provides the guidance strategy of the control parameters and the research on the system stability. Then the paper gives the basic design parameters of high power-density PMSM and the finite element analysis results of the prototype motor. Meanwhile, the paper shows the experiment results of the high power-density motor and its driving system, on the efficiency map of the motor and the system. It has been proved by these results that the high power-density driving system, which has the advantages of high efficiency and high power-density, is especially fit for the fields with high-performance at high speed requirement.

A power flow control strategy of a constant-speed microturbine-generation based series hybrid power system

In this paper, the power flow management algorithms for a power generation system is presented. An Energy Control Unit (ECU) was used to monitor and optimize the power flow from the microturbine-generation to the battery and the load, to improve not only the dynamic performance but also the safety and reliability of the power generation system Finally, an energy management algorithm and its behavior are presented, and results are concluded.

Research on the ultrasonic frequency characteristic of electromagnetic vibration and noise for permanent magnet synchronous motor using in undersea vehicles

This paper presents the ultrasonic frequency characteristic of electromagnetic vibration and noise for permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). The analysis flowchart of the vibration noise was discussed, and the electromagnetic vibration is researched from the simulation results integrated theoretical analysis. This paper describe that the slots and pole combination has obvious influence on the eigenvalue distribution within a certain frequency range. In addition, the mode frequency and shape of stator are calculated when different fixation method adopted. Analyzing above provided references for motor design and fixed method, and ensure the frequencies of rated point and other important working points can effectively avoid the resonant points, therefore to reduce the electromagnetic vibration and optimize the design scheme.

Modeling and analysis of nonlinear interior permanent magnet synchronous motors considering saturation and cross-magnetization effects

This paper provides an analytical nonlinear model based on flux density of rotor and Winding function of the PMSM, which take into account the magnetic saturation. This model gives a clear physical picture for the saturation phenomenon in the d- and q-axis representation. Moreover, the saturation effect on the machine d- and q-axis synchronous reactance is investigated and the contributions of both the saturation factors and the cross-magnetizing phenomenon are also clearly shown. Using Ansoft to do offline parameter calculus of Flux and inductance, a simulation platform is established in Simulink using the equation of the nonlinear model demonstrated in the paper. The paper also presents the details of the experimental setup. And the proposed model is verified by the comparison of calculated and experimental results.
