Fixed Point Theory for Contractive Mappings Satisfying -Maps in -Metric Spaces

Wasfi Shatanawi

We prove some fixed point results for self-mapping in a complete -metric space under some contractive conditions related to a nondecreasing map with for all . Also, we prove the uniqueness of such fixed point, as well as studying the -continuity of such fixed point.

Existence of Fixed Point Results in -Metric Spaces

Zead Mustafa; Wasfi Shatanawi; Malik Bataineh

The purpose of this paper is to prove the existence of fixed points of contractive mapping defined on 𝐺-metric space where the completeness is replaced with weaker conditions. Moreover, we showed that these conditions do not guarantee the completeness of 𝐺-metric spaces.

Coupled fixed point theorems for nonlinear contractions in partially ordered G-metric spaces

Hassen Aydi; Boško Damjanović; Bessem Samet; Wasfi Shatanawi

Abstract We prove coupled coincidence and coupled common fixed point theorems for a mixed g -monotone mapping satisfying nonlinear contractions in partially ordered G -metric spaces. Presented theorems are generalizations of the very recent results of Choudhury and Maity [B.S. Choudhury, P. Maity, Coupled fixed point results in generalized metric spaces, Math. Comput. Modelling 54 (1–2) (2011) 73–79].

Coupled fixed point results for (ψ,φ)-weakly contractive mappings in ordered G-metric spaces

Hassen Aydi; Mihai Postolache; Wasfi Shatanawi

In this paper, we establish coupled coincidence and common coupled fixed point theorems for (@j,@f)-weakly contractive mappings in ordered G-metric spaces. Presented theorems extend, generalize and improve many existing results in the literature. An example is given.

Coupled fixed point results for ( ψ,φ )-weakly contractive condition in ordered partial metric spaces

Hassen Aydi; Erdal Karapınar; Wasfi Shatanawi

In this paper, we prove some coupled fixed point theorems involving a (@j,@f)-weakly contractive condition for mapping having the mixed monotone property in ordered partial metric spaces. These results are analogous to theorems of Van Luong and Xuan Thuan (2011) [10] on the class of ordered partial metric spaces. Also, an application is given to support our results.

Partially ordered cone metric spaces and coupled fixed point results

Wasfi Shatanawi

Bhaskar and Lakshmikantham [T.G. Bhaskar, V. Lakshmikantham, Fixed point theorems in partially ordered metric spaces and applications, Nonlinear Anal. 65 (2006) 1379-1393] studied the coupled coincidence point of a mapping F from XxX into X and a mapping g from X into X. E. Karapinar [E. Karapinar, Couple fixed point theorems for nonlinear contractions in cone metric spaces, Comput. Math. Appl. (2010), doi:10.1016/j.camwa.2010.03.062] proved some results of the coupled coincidence point of a mapping F from XxX into X and a mapping g from X into X over normal cones without regularity. In the present paper, we prove that coupled coincidence fixed point theorems over cone metric spaces are not necessarily normal. Our results generalize several well known comparable results in the literature.

Nonlinear coupled fixed point theorems in ordered generalized metric spaces with integral type

Yeol Je Cho; B. E. Rhoades; Reza Saadati; Bessem Samet; Wasfi Shatanawi

In this article, we study coupled coincidence and coupled common fixed point theorems in ordered generalized metric spaces for nonlinear contraction condition related to a pair of altering distance functions. Our results generalize and modify several comparable results in the literature.2000 MSC: 54H25; 47H10; 54E50.

Coupled common fixed point theorems for a pair of commuting mappings in partially ordered complete metric spaces

Hemant Kumar Nashine; Wasfi Shatanawi

Abstract The purpose of this paper is to establish a coupled coincidence point for a pair of commuting mappings in partially ordered complete metric spaces. We also present a result on the existence and uniqueness of coupled common fixed points. An example is given to support the usability of our results.

FIXED POINT THEOREMS FOR NONLINEAR WEAKLY C-CONTRACTIVE MAPPINGS IN METRIC SPACES

Wasfi Shatanawi

Abstract The purpose of this paper is to present some fixed point and coupled fixed point theorems for a nonlinear weakly C -contraction type mapping in metric and ordered metric spaces. Also, an example is given to support our results. Our results generalize several well-known results from the current literature.

Common fixed points for single-valued and multi-valued maps satisfying a generalized contraction in G-metric spaces

Nedal Tahat; Hassen Aydi; Erdal Karapınar; Wasfi Shatanawi

In this article, we establish some common fixed point theorems for a hybrid pair {g, T} of single valued and multi-valued maps satisfying a generalized contractive condition defined on G-metric spaces. Our results unify, generalize and complement various known comparable results from the current literature.2000 MSC: 54H25; 47H10; 54E50.
