This paper is concerned with the problem of passivity-based asynchronous sliding mode control for a class of uncertain singular Markovian jump systems with time delay and nonlinear perturbations. The asynchronous control strategy is employed due to the nonsynchronization between the controller and the system modes. Considering the singularity of the system, a novel integral-type sliding surface is constructed, and then the asynchronous sliding controller is synthesized to ensure that the sliding mode dynamics satisfy the reaching condition. Sufficient conditions are presented such that the corresponding sliding mode dynamics are admissible and robustly passive. Finally, a numerical example is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed technique.

This paper is concerned with the fault detection filtering for complex systems over communication networks subject to nonhomogeneous Markovian parameters. A residual signal is generated that gives a satisfactory estimation of the fault, and an event-triggered scheme is proposed to determine whether the networks should be updated at the trigger instants decided by the event-threshold. Moreover, a random process is employed to model the phenomenon of malicious packet losses. Consequently, a novel method is presented to address the stochastically stability analysis and satisfies a given

performance index simultaneously. The condition of the existence of the filter design algorithm is derived by a convex optimization approach to estimate the faults and to generate a residual. Finally, the proposed fault detection filtering method is then applied to an industrial nonisothermal continuous stirred tank reactor under realistic network conditions. Simulation results are given to show the effectiveness of the proposed design method and the designed filter.

This paper is devoted to a distributed consensus problem for second-order multiagent systems with nonconvex velocity and control input constraints. A distributed control algorithm is introduced using local information. It is shown that consensus can be achieved as long as the union of the communication graphs has directed spanning trees among each time interval of certain bounded length in the presence of arbitrarily bounded communication delays. Finally, a numerical example is included to illustrate the theoretical results.

The molten iron temperature in the taphole of a blast furnace (BF) is an important variable which reflects the internal heat of the BF. However, there is no method to detect the temperature directly. To solve this difficulty, an approach to measure the temperature of molten iron in taphole is proposed in this paper. First, during the stable tapping period, a heat transfer model is established according to the principle of equal heat flux of the trench walls, which is used to calculate the molten iron temperature at different positions in the main pipeline according to the temperature measured by thermocouples buried in trench walls. Next, a main pipeline temperature drop model is established based on the pipe temperature drop theory. Finally, the output of heat transfer model is used as the data source for parameter identification in the temperature drop model. The least-squares method is adopted to identify the molten iron temperature in the taphole. The proposed approach was validated in a practical industrial experiment at the #2 BF in an iron making plant. The results illustrate the effectiveness and rationality of the proposed approach and provides credible temperature data for the control of the BF.

This paper investigates the problem of guaranteed cost control of an interval type-2 Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy descriptor systems with time-varying delays satisfying probabilistic characteristics. In order to fully consider the delay distributions, the delay segmentation approach is introduced. Then, an interval type-2 fuzzy controller is designed such that the closed-loop fuzzy descriptor system is regular, causal, mean square asymptotically stable, and the corresponding quadratic cost function is guaranteed which lower than a certain upper bound. Finally, one simulation example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
