Inverse-designed ultra-compact star-crossings based on PhC-like subwavelength structures for optical intercross connect

Inverse-designed star-crossings with 8 and 10 ports are proposed, with ultra-short coupling lengths of 5.28μm and 5.4μm respectively. Their measured ILs are less than 1.6dB and 2.4dB respectively over 60nm bandwidth centered 1550nm wavelength.

Flexible Tuning Optical Frequency Combs via Parametric Seeding in Microresonators With Normal Dispersion

We propose a novel method to flexibly tune the optical frequency combs generated in normal-dispersion microresonators based on parametric seeding. The pulse duration could be adjusted in the range of 0.7-3.076 ps by changing the seeding power from 1 to 5 mW, and the repetition rate could increase N times by setting the seeding frequency at N times free spectral range away from the pump.

A Tunable Photonic Differentiator Based on Temporal Pulse Shaping System

We propose a tunable photonic differentiator based on a temporal pulse shaping (TPS) system. A first-order differentiator with a bandwidth of 143.75 GHz is experimentally demonstrated.
