Emerging high performance wide band feed systems for multiaccess of satellite and earth station antennas

The introduction of wid+bandhighperformance feedcomponents constitutes the basement of a modular feedsystem design. It is shown that this approach provides large capability and flexibility in standard designs and more in multiaccess and reconfigurable ones. Design principles and measured performance are presented for standard w iddand modules as well as for the Ku-band feed system. The capability concerning multiaccess and reconfigurable applications is illustratedforcombinedKu(Ka)-band FSS/ DBS feedsystem designs by way of example.
