Spacecraft software automatic testing plays an essential role in spacecraft testing field for a decade. However, less attention has been paid on it based on workflow methodology. In this paper we introduce workflow technology into testing for improving the automation of spacecraft software testing. Firstly we present a spacecraft testing process definition language STPDL. Then workflow patterns framework is proposed for analyzing the language. In addition, we implement a core scheduling algorithm in our workflow engine and analyze its running time. At the end of the paper we evaluate the effect and efficiency of the testing workflow engine.

Along with the information construction deeply developed in astronautic field, more and more spacecraft test and experiment systems are constructed. On the one hand, they show their function very well, on the other hand, they bring “information island”, which brings more difficulties for the information application integration in aerospace field. On the basis of analyzing this situation, with the component technology, this paper brings out the Spacecraft Integration Test Platform Based on Component (SITPOC), whose aim is to satisfy the new requirements of spacecraft integration test by encapsulating legacy resource and developing new application system in component technology, and describes the function of every layer. Finally, through constructing the integration test database system, the expansibility and the reliability for the integration of the information system in space field are pointed out.

Spacecraft testing is an important phase of developing a spacecraft. In order to automate the testing process in parallel pattern, this paper presented the runtime environment architecture of testing system based on task-collaborating. In this architecture, there are three challenges: task-collaborating, task executing, resource management. Through analyzing the interference pattern between parallel test tasks, this paper proposed a collaborative strategy between parallel test tasks according to conflict detection. Then the structure of executing system and resource management platform were introduced. In prototype system, the experimental result proved effectiveness of the scheme presented in this paper.

The working model for the spacecraft testing has been evolving and will continue changing as this process is going on. This evolvement has aroused challenges to the designs of the spacecraft data management system. The problems include that requirement of the evolving working model could not be satisfied by simply tailoring the functions of the old systems, and that computing resources accumulated in history fails to be effectively utilized to serve the new applications. In response to these problems, this paper proposed a configurable strategy for spacecraft data management system. It contains the following parts: encapsulates basic computing units as components, connectors and component linkage language in which data management system can be developed by manipulating components and connectors. Finally, a part of the system implementation example illustrated effectiveness of the scheme proposed in this paper.

Mutual interference between parallel test tasks is a well know problem of spacecraft testing systems.It results in sequential testing with very low efficiency.This paper proposed a cooperative strategy to solve this problem.By analysis of the interference patterns, spacecraft parallel conflicts are defined and a conflict detection method is given. With the conflict detection,a collaborative strategy between parallel test tasks based on Pi-calculus is proposed including the inference and validation of the strategy.Finally,the experimental result proved effectiveness of the scheme proposed in this paper.

In addition, we give core scheduling algorithm and the implementation detail of the spacecraft testing workflow engine. At the end of the paper we give the future of our workflow engine.
