Performance analysis of container yard based on batch service queueing system

Qiwen Du; Xianliang Shi; Lan Bai; Shan Gao

Abstract China Railway Express has been developed rapidly since “the Belt and Road Initiative” in China was proposed. Many cities in the Midwest of China have developed into the transport hub from the transport terminal. The key question is how to reasonably formulate the size of the container station and the frequency of the shift for China Railway Express. This paper takes the container as the research object. Regarding the containers as customers in the queuing system, customers’ services ending with the loading of containers into China Railway Express, based on a finite-capacity queueing system with batch service, this paper provides an optimal layout method for the container yard of China Railway Express.

Evaluation of supply capacity of food emergency logistics in natural disaster

Xiuxian Huang; Xianliang Shi

In China, natural disasters which are regionalism, diversity, frequency, extensive losses greatly threaten the peoples personal safety and property security. However, some circumstances could exist in affected areas, such as shortage and invalid supply of emergency food, competition for materials among people and so forth. In this paper, we study on supply capacity of food emergency logistics, establish a corresponding evaluation index system, and use intuitionistic fuzzy analytic hierarchy process to make a comprehensive evaluation. Then we can put forward a method of testing the supply capacity of food emergency logistics in response to natural disasters. The results help to explore the problems existing in the supplies of emergency food.

Sea-rail combined transport model based on queuing theory

Qiwen Du; Xianliang Shi

Currently the research literature on container sea-rail combined transport, mostly are from the point of cost, or starting from the transportation line, or from the perspective of time window, but lack of theoretical support with an integrated effect to optimize the multimodal transport of goods. In this paper, it considers the arrival and departure of the whole process of the container, establishing a container transport model based on queuing theory. The model is a batch arrival and batch service model. The model is a batch arrival, batch service model, accurately describing the circulation process of the container on sea-rail combined transport port.

Relationship of trade and China's logistics capability under “the belt and road”

Mingze Liu; Xianliang Shi

Based on the value of import and export and logistics capability evaluating index, this paper has researched the relationship of import and export trade and Chinas logistics capability. Meanwhile, elastic coefficients of index have also been calculated. The value of import and export trade and Chinas logistics capability are used to complete status analysis. The correlation between import and export trade and logistic capability evaluating index has been analyzed. SSPS 21.0 software is applied in this section. Elastic coefficients of index reveal that import and export trade and logistics development has a positive correlation, port throughput above sea scale, Internet access ports, and container port traffic are three areas can promote volume of trade mostly.

Game analysis and development strategies for supply chain environmental costs internalization

Quanji Bi; Xianliang Shi

With the increasingly distinct environmental problems in our country, internalization of environmental costs becomes an important approach to solve these problems. Internalization of environmental costs in a single enterprise is not strong enough in the process. To accomplish the internalization of the whole supply chain can not only alleviate the contradiction between environment and development, but also enhance the core competitiveness of supply chains and increase operating earnings of enterprises. This paper studies internalization of environmental costs, and conducts game analysis on interest-related parties during the environmental costs internalization of secondary supply chain to find the critical factors that influence the internalization so as to propose corresponding strategies and suggestions.

Logistics center origin of agricultural products in Hebei province

Lan Bai; Quanji Bi; Xianliang Shi

The development of agricultural products logistics in Hebei province has become faster and faster. How to choose the location as Logistics Center Origin of agricultural products distribution in Hebei Province, according to the transportation network and agricultural products distribution within short distance and most convenient transportation, is quite significant to the government, agricultural enterprises and farmers. This paper uses mathematical analysis method to determine logistics transportation center origin weighted on traffic volume and highway web on Euler circle of agricultural products in Hebei Province, in order to provide reference for the government and enterprises.

Distribution mode of small items using passenger-transport expressway networks

Qiwen Du; Xianliang Shi; Lan Bai

Enlightened by the fact that certain passenger buses could deliver small items by imposing some fees for clients, and there exists possible integration of the passenger-transport expressway networks and logistics, we aim to study how to transfer the delivery of simple and small items to logistics distribution of special items by using expressways if we take time-efficient special items as the research object. Choosing automobile passenger stations, expressway service areas and toll-gates as joints, and relying on the luggage compartments of passenger vehicles, this paper analyzes and studies the route choice of the distribution of small items by using expressway networks, and presents new modes and methods to the distributions of time-efficient small items.

A study on coordination degree evaluation of Logistics supply and demand in Free Trade Zone

Hui Zhao; Xianliang Shi; Qiwen Du

Based on Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTA), the author has studied the coordination degree evaluation of Logistics supply and demand in FTA. Firstly author gives the selecting principle of order parameter. Based on the principle and combined with the actual situation of Shanghai Free Trade Zone, I used the three subsystems-transportation, warehousing, value-added services to set up index system of supply and demand order parameter respectively. On this basis, I established evaluation model of coordination degree on logistics supply and demand, including coordination model of the supply and demand system and relative coordination model of supply and demand subsystem. Model can be used on the coordination degree evaluation of Logistics supply and demand in FTA, and guiding the development of logistics industry in the free trade area.
