A β-carboline alkaloid from Hedyotis chrysotricha

A new β-carboline alkaloid, named chrysotricine, was isolated from Hedyotis chrysotricha, which is a traditional Chinese medicine. Its structure was elucidated by spectroscopic and X-ray diffraction analysis. Chrysotricine exhibited inhibitory activity against the growth of HL-60 cell in vitro.

Taxoids from the barks of Taxus wallichiana

Abstract Two new taxane diterpenoids, 1-hydroxy-2-deacetoxytaxinine J and 7,2′-bisdeacetoxyaustrospicatine, were isolated from the barks of Taxus wallichiana together with 13 known compounds, including taxol. Their structures were elucidated and identified by spectroscopic methods. The structure of 7,2′-bisdeacetoxyaustrospicatine was further confirmed by X-ray crystallographic analysis.

Iridoids from Hedyotis hedyotidea

Two new iridoids, deacetylasperulosidic acid ethyl ester and hedyotoside and three known iridoids, asperulosidic acid, asperuloside and deacetyl asperuloside, were isolated from Hedyotis hedyotidea. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic means.

A taxane-11,12-oxide from Taxus yunnanensis

Abstract A new taxoid, decinnamoyl-taxinine B-11,12-oxide, was isolated from the leaves and stems of Taxus yunnanensis . This is the first example of an 11,12-epoxy taxoid isolated from the yew tree.

Taxayuntin E and F: Two taxanes from leaves and stems of Taxus yunnanensis

Abstract Two new 11(15 → 1)-abeotaxanes (taxayuntin E and F) were isolated from the leaves and stems of Taxus yunnanensis . The conformational flexibility of the tetracyclic taxane skeleton was observed in the 1 H NMR spectrum of taxayuntin F.
