g-C 3 N 4 /TiO 2 composite were prepared by hydrolysis of Ti(OC 4 H n 9 )4 and the precursors of g-C 3 N 4 at room temperature and annealing in nitrogen atmosphere. X-ray diffraction results revealed that all the products were anatase structure. The chemical nature of O, N of the g-C 3 N 4 /TiO 2 were identified by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, presenting N-Ti-O and N-Ti-N doping status of the composite. The g-C 3 N 4 /TiO 2 composite showed better photocatalytic activity for the UV and visible-light degradation of Rhodamine B.

Porous indium oxide nanorods have been synthesized by calcination of indium hydroxide, which were prepared through a simple sol-gel and aging process at low temperature in the presence of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS). X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) were adopted to characterize the phase composition and morphology of the resulted samples. The sensing properties towards H 2 were examined at 340°C, which showed better sensitivity and quick response/recovery merits.

Two new complexes, [Cu 2 (C 3 N 3 O 3 H 2 )4]·H 2 O, I, and [Zn(C3N303H2)2(H20)4]·C 3 N 3 O 3 H 3 ·H 2 O, II, have been synthesized by the reactions of cyanuric chloride (C 3 N 3 Cl 3 ), melamine (C 3 N 6 H 6 ) with CuCl 2 ·2H 2 O and ZnCl 2 , respectively, through hydrothermal route. They were characterized by single crystal diffraction, elemental analysis, thermalgravimetry analysis. Furthermore, the photoluminescent properties of both I and II were studied. In complex (I), the Cu(II) is two coordinated in a linear fashion by two nitrogen atoms. The Zn(II) atom in complex (II) is surrounded by two nitrogen atoms and four oxygen atoms to complete a six-coordinate environment. The combination of hydrogen bonds and π····π stacking interactions extends complex (I), (II) into three-dimension architectures.
