catena-Poly[[bis(thiocyanato-κN)cadmium(II)]-di-μ-thiourea-κ4S:S]

Xin Qiang Wang; Wen Tao Yu; Dong Xu; Meng Kai Lü; Duo Rong Yuan

The CdII ion in the title complex, [Cd(SCN)2{SC(NH2)2}2]∞, is situated at a centre of symmetry, and is bound to two N atoms belonging to thioxadcyanate groups and to four S atoms of bridging thioxadurea ligands. The structure consists of infinite chains of slightly distorted edge-shared Cd-centred octahedra. The bridging S atoms of two thioxadurea ligands comprise the common edge. Some thermal properties are described.

Manganese mercury thiocyanate (MMTC) glycol monomethyl ether

Xin Qiang Wang; Wen Tao Yu; Dong Xu; Meng Kai Lü; Duo Rong Yuan; Guang Tian Lu

In the title complex, [MnHg(NCS)4(C3H8O2)]n, each Hg atom is tetrahedrally coordinated with four S atoms of the SCN− ions, and each Mn atom is octahedrally coordinated with four N atoms of the SCN− ions, one hydroxyl O atom and one ethereal O atom of the glycol monoxadmethyl ether molxadecule. Each pair of Hg and Mn atoms is bridged by one SCN− ion. A 24-membered Mn3Hg3(SCN)6 ring is formed as the strucrural unit, with the six metal atoms in a chair-form hexagonal arrangement. The units are condensed and linked three-dimensionally in the crystal resulting in a diamond-like structure.

Bis(tetraethylammonium) bis(2-thioxo-1,3-dithiole-4,5-dithiolato)cadmium(II)

Ting Bin Li; Wen Tao Yu; Dong Xu; Xin Qiang Wang; Guang Hui Zhang

In (I), there are two sets of [Cd(dmit)2] 2ÿ anions, approximately orthogonal to one another and running along diagonals of the ab plane, with the cations occupying the voids created by this packing arrangement. The structure of the [Cd(dmit)2] 2ÿ anion is the same as reported in (Bu4N)2[Cd(dmit)2] (Zhai et al., 1999), the cadmium ion being coordinated by four S atoms with a distorted tetrahedral con®guration. Poly[[[tri(urea-κO)manganese(II)]-μ-thiocyanato-κ2N: s-mercury(II)]-tri-μ-tetrathiocyanato]

Xin Qiang Wang; Wen Tao Yu; Dong Xu; Meng Kai Lü; Duo Rong Yuan

The title complex, [MnHg(SCN)4(CH 4 N 2 O) 3 ] n , consists of slightly distorted octahedral MnN 3 O 3 and tetrahedral HgS 4 units. The Mn II atom is coordinated by the O atoms of three urea molecules and by the N atoms of three SCN- ions; Hg II is coordinated by four S atoms from SCN- ions. Each pair of Mn II and Hg II atoms is connected by an -SCN- bridge, forming infinite two-dimensional -Mn-NCS-Hg- networks.

l-Lysinium trifluoroacetate

Zhi Hua Sun; Jian Dong Fan; Guang Hui Zhang; Xin Qiang Wang; Dong Xu

Ions of the title compound, C6H15N2O2 +·C2F3O2 −, a new organic nonlinear optical crystal, are linked by N—H⋯O hydrogen-bonding interactions. Both the amino groups of the l-lysinium cation are protonated. A three-dimensional network of hydrogen bonds is observed, forming a closed ring. Intermolecular N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds involving l-lysinium cations and trifluoroacetate anions link the ions into extended chains which run parallel to the [010] direction. The F atoms of the trifluoroacetate anion are disordered over two sites with site occupancies of 0.423u2005(18) and 0.577u2005(18). The asymmetric unit consists of two cations and two anions.

Polymeric bis(N,N-dimethylacetamide)tetrakis(thiocyanato)cadmium(II)mercury(II).

Xin Qiang Wang; Wen Tao Yu; Dong Xu; Meng Kai Lü; Duo Rong Yuan; Guang Tian Lu

The title complex, [[CdHg(SCN)(4)(C(4)H(9)NO)(2)](2)](n), contains two crystallographically independent Cd(II) centres and two Hg(II) centres. Each Cd(II) atom is bound to four N atoms belonging to SCN groups and to two O atoms from N,N-dimethylacetamide (DMA) ligands in an octahedral geometry. Each Hg(II) centre is tetrahedrally coordinated by four SCN S atoms.

Polymeric bis(N-methylformamide)tetrathiocyanatocadmium(II)mercury(II)

Wen Tao Yu; Dong Xu; Guang Hui Zhang; Xin Qiang Wang

The title complex, polyxad[bis(N-methylxadformxadamide)xadtetra-μ-thioxadcyanatocadmium(II)xadmercury(II)], [CdHg(NCS)4(C2H5NO)2]n, contains slightly distorted octahedral CdN4O2 and tetrahedral HgS4. The CdII atom is coordinated by the N atoms of four SCN groups and O atoms of two N-methylxadformxadamide ligands in a cis orientation. The HgII atom is coordinated by S atoms of one independent and three symmetry-related SCN groups. The two metal atoms, viz. CdII and HgII, are connected by an —S=C=N— bridge, forming an infinite three-dimensional network.

The title complex, [CdHg(NCS)4(C18H15P)2]n, contains slightly distorted trigonal bipyramidal CdN4S and tetrahedral HgP2S2. The CdII atom is coordinated by the N atoms of four thioxadcyanate ions and the S atom of one thioxadcyanate ion. The HgII atom is coordinated by two trixadphenylxadphosphine P atoms and two thioxadcyanate S atoms. The two metal atoms, viz. CdII and HgII, are connected by an —S=C=N— bridge, forming an infinite three-dimensional network.

Triphenyl-n-propylphosphonium bis(2-thioxo-1,3-dithiole-4,5-dithiolato)aurate(III)

Xin Qiang Wang; Jian Dong Fan; Dong Xu; Wen Tao Yu; Jing Sun

In the title complex, (C21H22P)[Au(C3S5)2] or (Ph3C3H7P)[Au(dmit)2] (where Ph3C3H7P is the triphenyl-n-propylxadphosphoxadnium cation and dmit is the 2-thioxo-1,3-dithiole-4,5-dithiolxadate anion), the AuIII atom exhibits a square-planar coordination involving four S atoms from two dmit ligands. The [Au(dmit)2]− anions form discrete pairs with a long interxadmolecular Au⋯S interxadaction for each Au atom in the crystal structure.
