Study on time-frequency atom property in the adaptive signal expands scheme

Adaptive time-frequency distribution is an important signal processing method. The property of time-frequency atom affects directly to analysis effect to the signal.The various time-frequency atoms that have been submitted presently have been studied in detail and the simulation experiment was carried on in this paper, include Time centre,frequency centre, time width, band width and Wigner-Ville distribution(WVD), and the result displays the Chirplet atom is better than the Gabor atom and FmmLet atom in every aspect properties, the free degree of Chirplet atom parameter is four dimension, that is moderate for search, and the WVD of Chirplet atom is not alternation item and negative value, the approximation is smooth when the chirplet atom is used. The atom can analyse any signal, the Chirplet atom distribution is an Ideal signal analysis method when signal model is unknown.
