Xiuqin Shang; Xiwei Liu; Gang Xiong; Changjian Cheng; Yonghong Ma; Timo R. Nyberg

Social Manufacturing is a novel manufacturing mode, which can introduced in the apparel industrial and other fashion industries for the mass customization, based on network, 3D fitting mirror and other technologies. In social manufacturing, the consumers are involved fully into the production process by the internet; the manufacturing equipments and the intelligent interactive service terminals (3D fitting mirrors) are online, forming the manufacture and service equipment network; to realize the social manufacturing, a powerful modern logistics system are needed to support the production and E-business. Therefore, the manufacture and service equipment network, mass-customization or mass-rent webs involving a large number of people, and modern logistics network are combined in the social manufacturing platform by using the network, cloud technology, and other technologies. in the near future everyone will need the novel manufacture mode and the traditional enterprises, such as apparel enterprises, will be transformed into the intelligent enterprises which can proactively perceive and respond the personalized demands of the large quantity of consumers, and realize the mass customization by the social manufacture cloud service platform.

Gang Xiong; Yaran Chen; Xiuqin Shang; Xiwei Liu; Timo R. Nyberg

With the development of rapid prototype 3D printing technology, social manufacturing era is coming too. The paper mainly introduces the framework of social manufacturing, which is able to perceive and influence the customers and satisfy the demand of mass customization. Under the framework, an evaluation system for garment enterprises is proposed to select the best supplier based on AHP and fuzzy comprehensive method. This method considers both qualitative and quantitative factors simultaneously. The systems validity and practicability have been verified in the Dongguan garment enterprises.

To further enhance emergency management skills of an organisations emergency response personnel, emergency response training, especially 3D emergency drill, is currently becoming more and more important in the petrochemical sector. So, a novel 3D emergency drills system is designed and developed based on ACP approach, which can be used for mocking emergency response plan drills and evaluating the plan. A case study reveals that the performance of the system is good and the system can meet the needs of emergency response training and optimizing emergency response plan in petrochemical plants.

A HAZOP based model for safety management risk assessment in petrochemical plants

Sifeng Jing; Xiwei Liu; Changjian Cheng; Xiuqin Shang; Gang Xiong

To identify specific safety management vulnerabilities that lead to deviations and failure of safeguards, a safety management risk assessment model is proposed in this paper. Firstly, accident cases happened in a petrochemical plant from 2000 to 2013 are analyzed. The indirect common causations of accidents are found and chosen as risk analysis factors. Then, the actual process of safety management is investigated, and the main framework of risk assessment is made. Finally, the model is built based on parallel management theory, accident causation theory and classic HAZOP technical. And targeted measures of such vulnerabilities is made. Compared with classic HAZOP technical, the model has advantages in searching for risks from technical and managerial two levels. The method provides a new way for the safety management objectives of changing “accident handling, postmortem prevention” to “intrinsic safety, advance prevention” in petrochemical plant.

In recent years, the rapid development of network and E-commerce technologies, promotes the development of human body big data. New technologies, such as 3D scanning and 3D printing will improve our life quality. The new socialized manufacturing network composed of IoT, advanced logistics network and 3D printers. Everyone is allowed to have chance to participate in any process of the whole production manufacturing lifecycle by some ways, such as crowdsourcing. Boosts the creation, production and consumption patterns of individuation, real-time transformation and E-commerce, possibly will lead to a new industrial revolution. In this revolutionary change wave, public concerns focus on the human body big data used for social manufacturing of wearable products or personalized medical treatment. Although many scholars have done a lot of research work, the collection of the human body shape big data still faces many challenges. There is no complete, separated theoretical research works in progress, it should be summarized and improved systematically. In this paper, we review that big data for human body shape is gaining momentum. The 3D scanning and 3D modeling of human body shape are summarized and concluded. The main applications of these big data are analyzed.

Sifeng Jing; Xiwei Liu; Dong Fan; Changjian Cheng; Xiuqin Shang; Gang Xiong

Chemical emergency response process is a dynamic complex process. To improve the effectiveness of emergency management, Petri nets are applied to model dynamic process of chemical emergency response process in this paper. A dynamic process model of emergency management is built based on hybrid Petri nets and hierarchical object-oriented Petri nets. The result reveals that the model can indicated the properties of Continuity, timeliness, interactive and multiple possibilities of emergency response process.

Sifeng Jing; Xiwei Liu; Changjian Cheng; Xiuqin Shang; Gang Xiong

To fulfil the objective of changing “accident handling, postmortem prevention” to “intrinsic safety, advance prevention” in chemical industry, this paper covers research to develop a process safety management system (PSMS). First of all, the method is proposed based on the survey, which pointed that it is an essential way to take full advantages of accidents information to enhance process safety management. Secondly, the key functions of PSMS are detailed and the needs for accident database are demanded. The defects of chemical database existing were concluded through literature review. Thirdly, the outline design of PSMS chemical accident database is presented. The work can provide some theoretical and practical reference for the study and development of the process safety management system.

Göte Nyman; Mark Nelson; Juhana Peltonen; Timo R. Nyberg; Xiuqin Shang; Gang Xiong

Theoretical foundations are presented for the construction of a Behavioral Theory of the Networked Firm (BTONF) and considered within the context of the firms value networks. Different basic network candidate models are used to reveal relevant firm behaviors. The approach suggests requirements for the BTONF and guidelines for discovering the fundamental behavioral elements of the networked firm.

Gang Xiong; Jiachen Hou; Dong Fan; Xisong Dong; Yanjie Yao; Xiuqin Shang

With the fast development of the market economy in China, the material management of the Power Enterprise Group has changed and met many challenges. On the other hand, with the fast increase of Internet and data scale, some problems of enterprise material management can be solved by using IT technologies, such as database. For examples, it can help enterprises to develop the suitable management systems, so as to improve the management level and the enterprises competitiveness. In the paper, compared with the traditional material flow management, a new flow model management was proposed for the complex management system of Power Enterprise Group, and material management system are designed and developed to realize the unified management on three tiers, i.e. Headquarter, Distribution management centers and Local power plants.

Yi Xie; Xiuqin Shang; Yuqing Li; Xiwei Liu; Fenghua Zhu; Gang Xiong; Susanna Pirttikangas; Jiehan Zhou

For personalized design it is important to be able to collect, measure and evaluate individual properties of human beings. This paper proposes registration for the point clouds during foot 3D scanning. In the experiment, we get the point clouds of the human foot from the Artec 3D scanner and complete the registration of the point clouds from different visual angles. Dealing with the customized footwear, we choose a novel algorithm, which combines the NARF key point detector and the FPFH descriptor, to improve the efficiency of the initial iteration and reduce the computation burden of matching process.
