Analysis and Comparison of Range - Range Positioning Mode and Hyperbolic Positioning Mode

Three key factors are discussed, which affect positioning accuracy of range — range positioning mode and hyperbolic positioning mode. Based on the error elliptical theory, the expressions of positioning error and of positioning geometric factor of range — range positioning mode and hyperbolic positioning mode are derived, and the positioning error and the blind positioning area of two different positioning modes are analyzed. According to the requirement of navigation area, an optimum positional configuration among navigation stations of hyperbolic positioning mode is provided. Some considerable conclusions are obtained, and some graphs of distribution are presented, which are important to study and design a reasonable, precise radio navigation system.

Interference Suppression and Clutter Cancellation Based on MVDR Pulse Compression

The performance of pulse compression always declines seriously due to the influence of strong interference and clutter. To solve this problem, a new adaptive pulse compression (APC) method based on minimum variance distortion less response (MVDR) criterion is proposed in this letter. First the received signal in time domain is reconstructed to have a similar form with the signal received by a space array. Then the MVDR filter is used to suppress irrelevant interference and cancel correlative clutter. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed method.

Joint DOD and DOA Angle Estimation of Coherent Targets for Bistatic MIMO Radar

An improved algorithm for joint direction of departure (DOD) and direction of arrival (DOA) estimation in bistatic MIMO radar based on fourth order cumulants is presented. Firstly, the data of receiver is reseted and divided to acquire the rotational invariance property of transmitter and receiver, respectively. The fourth order cumulants matrixes in twain are constructed which is based on the basic definition of the cumulant. Then we use propagator method(PM), which requires only linear operation but does not involve any eigendecomposition of the cumulant matrix, to estimate the DODs and DOAs, respectively. Finally, the maximum likelihood method is used to solve the pairing problem. The proposed method is effective in prohibiting the Gaussian colored noise and improves the performance of the angle estimation. It does not need two-dimensional spectrum peak searching and eigenvalue decomposition on the cumulant matrix, thus the computation complexity is reduced. At the same time, it has no claim on the number of receive arrays or receive arrays. Simulation results are presented to verify the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method.

A New Location Algorithm Based on Midperpendicular Plane Segmentation

Based on the external radiation source passive multistation positioning system, due to the existence of location error, each positioning results more or less off target real position, therefore need to seek a kind of optimal fusion method, will be a variety of positioning results according to certain rules of data fusion, in order to get more accurate target location coordinates, reducing error. This paper proposed based on sagging surface integral multistation data fusion algorithm, effective improve location accuracy, and obtained with good stability.
