Two different three-dimensional microporous framework structures in [Mn2(H2O)4{W(CN)8}.4H2O]n and [Mn2(H2O)4{W(CN)8}(OH).2H2O]n

Two novel cyano-bridged heterobimetallic coordination polymers, [Mn2(H2O)4{W(CN)8}·4H2O]n (1) and [Mn2(H2O)4{W(CN)8}(OH)·2H2O]n (2), have been synthesized from [W(CN)8]n− (n=4, 5) building blocks and structurally characterized, where all the CN groups of [W(CN)8]n− are involved in bridging. Both polymers display different open microporous frameworks of the 3D polygonal type exhibiting zeolite-like properties. The 3D framework of 2 is unprecedented. The study of the magnetic properties showed that both polymers exhibit weakly antiferromagnetic interactions between the adjacent Mn ions through the diamagnetic NC–WIV–CN spacer for 1 and between WV and Mn ions for 2.

Synthesis, crystal structures and luminescent properties of two supramolecular assemblies containing [Au(CN)2]- building block

Two self-assembled supramolecular architectures {{MnH2O(Phen)2[Au(CN)2]}[Au(CN)2]·0.5C2H5OH·0.5H2O}n (phen = 1, 10-phenanthroline) (1) and [C6H13N4][Au(CN)2]·H2O(C6H13N4 = 4-amide-3, 5-diethyl-1, 2, 4-triazole cation) (2) have been synthesized and structurally characterized. X-ray crystallography revealed a three-dimensional structure of 1 formed by the incorporation of coordinative linkage, aurophilic, hydrogen-bonding and π–π interactions. The 2D structure of 2 is formed by aurophilic and hydrogen-bonding interactions. Both the solid phases and aqueous solutions of 1 and 2 display interesting luminescence at room temperature.

3D porous and 3D interpenetrating triple framework structures constructed by aurophilicity-coordination interplay in {Mn[Au(CN)2]2(H2O)2}n and {KFe[Au(CN)2]3}n

Two cyano-bridged heterobimetallic coordination polymers [Mn[Au(CN)2]2(H2O)2]n (1) and [KFe[Au(CN)2]3]n (2), have been synthesized from [Au(CN)2]- building blocks and structurally characterized. In both complexes aurophilicity play an important role in determining the 3D open microporous framework and the interpenetrating triple framework for 1 and 2, respectively. Both aqueous solutions of 1 and 2 display interesting luminescent properties.

A Novel, three-dimensional, Tetrachlorophthalato-bridged Samarium(III) complex [Sm(tcph)2(H2O)6]Hpip·5H2O

A novel, three-dimensional, tetrachlorophthalato-bridged samarium complex [Sm(tcph)2(H2O)6]Hpip·5H2O (1) (tcph = tetrachlorophthalate dianion, pip = piperidine) has been synthesized and characterized by an X-ray structure determination. The title complex contains an unusual dimer formed by very short hydrogen bonds and gives a three-dimensional network by means of extensive hydrogen bonds. The fluorescence spectrum of 1 was measured.

In the title compound, [Cu(C22H24N6O2)], the copper(II) ion is coordinated by five N atoms from the chelating macrocyclic ligand, forming a distorted square-pyramidal geometry. The complexes associate as dimers, disposed about a centre of symmetry, linked through weak intermolecular Cu⋯O coordination and N—H⋯O hydrogen bonding.

Synthesis and crystal structure of a new oxamidato-bridged trinuclear Cu2 II MnII complex containing a macrocyclic ligand

A new oxamidato-bridged trinuclear complex [(CuL)2Mn](ClO4)2 (H2L = 2,3-dioxo-5,6,14,15-dibenzo-1,4, 8,12-tetraazacyclo-pentadeca-7,3-dien)] was prepared and its structure determined. The complex is monoclinic, space group P21/n, with a = 10.625(3), b = 11.602(3), c = 16.020(5) Å, β = 91.031(5)°, Z = 2; it was refined to R1 = 0.0555. In the solid state, the structure consists of centrosymmetric [(CuL)2Mn]2+ cations separated by perchlorate anions; the central manganese atom is four coordinated with square planar geometry.
