ABSTRACT Acinetobacter baumannii is a Gram-negative opportunistic pathogen that is frequently associated with nosocomial infections. Bacteriophages infecting A. baumannii can be used as effective agents to control these infections. Here, we announce the complete genome sequence of the lytic bacteriophage LZ35 infecting A. baumannii isolates.

ABSTRACT A virulent bacteriophage (Ec-ZZ2) that infects Enterococcus faecium was isolated from sewage. The bacteriophage belongs to the family Siphoviridae and has a linear double-stranded DNA genome, with a length of 41,170 bp and a 34.59% G+C content, which is highly similar to Enterococcus phage IME-EF4.

ABSTRACT The lytic bacteriophage YS35, which is capable of lysing multidrug-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa strains, was isolated from a sewage sample. Here, we describe the complete genome sequence of this myoviral bacteriophage, which contains 93,296 bp of double-stranded DNA and has a 49.4% G+C content.

ABSTRACT Serratia marcescens is an important opportunistic organism that causes nosocomial infections. Bacteriophage therapy has the potential to control S. marcescens infection. We present here the complete genome sequence of a lytic S. marcescens bacteriophage, SM9-3Y, which is a linear double-stranded DNA genome of 39,631 bp with 50.7% G+C content.

ABSTRACT Here, we describe the complete genome sequence of the Escherichia coli bacteriophage ZG49, isolated from a sewage sample. ZG49 is a linear double-stranded DNA T7-like podophage, with a genome of 40,291 bp, containing 44 predicted open reading frames.
