One of the subjects that is confusing and difficult for students to fully comprehend is the concept of angular velocity and linear velocity. It is the relationship between linear and angular velocity that students find difficult; most students understand linear motion in isolation. In this article, we detail the design, construction and utilization of a simple, economic, practical piece of apparatus that could enable students to establish the relationship between angular velocity and linear velocity.

This study seeks the answer to the question “Is computer assisted physics education as effective as laboratory assisted physics education in overcoming students’ misconceptions?” ”Force and motion” is chosen to be issued in the study. 48 students studying sciences in the 10th grade of Ankara-Altindag Esenevler Anatolian High School constitute the sample group of the study. Pre-test/Post-test group design is used in the study. The study is carried on by experimental and control groups from random classes. Survey data is derived from pre and post misconception tests. In data analysis, arithmetic mean, standard deviation and ttest were used. As a result of the study, it was concluded that there is significant difference between the effects of laboratory assisted and computer assisted education in overcoming misconceptions for the good of computer assisted education.

The aim of this research is to determine the views of teachers about visual design-content-language and expression assessment and evaluation of 9th class physics textbook of prepared according to physics instruction programme in 2007. Textbook evaluation scale based on 57 questions prepared for this aim was applied to 88 physics teachers working in different high schools. Survey method was used in this research. According to the results of this investigation, teachers have given average 3,2 points out of 5 to 9th class physics textbook in accordance with visual design-content-language and expression-assessment and evaluation. This result is indicated that this book is not well-qualified enough to meet the expectations of teachers.

Bu calismada, ilkogretim Fen ve Teknoloji Ogretmenlerinin demografik ozelliklerinin ortaya cikarilmasi amaclanmistir. Arastirmada tarama modeli ve tesadufi ornekleme yontemi kullanilmistir. Arastirmanin orneklem grubunu, Istanbul’da calisan 204 Fen ve Teknoloji ogretmeni olusturmustur. Verilerin toplanmasinda Kisisel Bilgi Formu kullanilmistir. Sonuc olarak, Istanbul’da calisan Fen ve Teknoloji ogretmenlerinin demografik ozellikleri ortaya cikarilmistir. Arastirma sonucunda, orneklem grubunun olusturan ogretmenlerin sadece %16.18’inin lisansustu egitim yaptigi, %66.20’sinin kirada ikamet ettigi ortaya cikmistir. Ayrica, ogretmenlerin %16.66’si hayatini idame ettirebilmek icin gelir getiren ek bir is yapmak durumunda kalmaktadir.
