New condition of stabilization for continuous Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy system based on fuzzy Lyapunov function

Ali Bouyahya; Yassine Manai; Joseph Haggège

This paper try to give a new stabilization condition of continuous Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy models. Using non-quadratic Lyapunov function, the new condition of stabilization are used in terms of linear matrix inequalities LMIs. To verify the robustness of this new condition, a numeric example is used.

New Approach for Hardware/Software Embedded System Conception Based on the Use of Design Patterns

Yassine Manai; Joseph Haggège; Mohamed Benrejeb

This paper deals with a new hardware/software embedded system design methodology based on design pattern approach by development of a new design tool called smartcell. Three main constraints of embedded systems design process are investigated: the complexity, the partitioning between hardware and software aspects and the reusability. Two intermediate models are carried out in order to solve the complexity problem. The partitioning problem deals with the proposed hardware/software partitioning algorithm based on Ant Colony Optimisation. The reusability problem is resolved by synthesis of intellectual property blocks. Specification and integration of an intelligent controller on heterogeneous platform are considered to illustrate the proposed approach.

PI-Fuzzy Controller Conception with Design Pattern Based Approach

Yassine Manai; Joseph Haggège; Mohamed Benrejeb

This paper deals with a proposed strategy for embedded system design based on the design pattern approach and the concept of object-oriented, supported by unified modeling language (UML). It benefits from a set of methodologies as co-design approach design pattern approach, the language of unified models and abstraction of information. The new view in design strategy lays on a proposed design pattern we call Unified Structure. Further, it examines the specification and the integration of fuzzy controllers on a DSP board, in order to control the speed and the torque of a DC drive. For an experimental validation of this controller a simulation is carried out in order to generate the code to be integrated on the DSP board.

Robust Stabilization for Continuous Takagi-Sugeno Fuzzy System Based on Observer Design

Yassine Manai; Mohamed Benrejeb

This paper investigates the influence of a new parallel distributed controller (PDC) on the stabilization region of continuous Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy models. Using a nonquadratic Lyapunov function, a new sufficient stabilization criterion is established in terms of linear matrix inequality. The criterion examines the derivative membership function; an approach to determine state variables is given based on observer design. In addition, a stabilization condition for uncertain system is given. Finally, numeric simulation is given to validate the developed approach.

New PDC controller design for stabilization of continuous Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy system

Yassine Manai; Mohamed Benrejeb

This paper examines the effect of a new Parallel Distributed Compensation (PDC) controller on the stabilization region of continuous Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy models. Using a non-quadratic Lyapunov function, new sufficient stabilization criteria is established in terms of Linear Matrix Inequality. Finally, numeric simulation is given to prove the developed approach.

Nonquadratic Lyapunov Functions for Nonlinear Takagi-Sugeno Discrete Time Uncertain Systems Analysis and Control

Ali Bouyahya; Yassine Manai; Joseph Haggège

This paper deals with the analysis and design of the state feedback fuzzy controller for a class of discrete time Takagi -Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy uncertain systems. The adopted framework is based on the Lyapunov theory and uses the linear matrix inequality (LMI) formalism. The main goal is to reduce the conservatism of the stabilization conditions using some particular Lyapunov functions. Four nonquadratic Lyapunov Functions are used. This Lyapunov function represent an extention from two Lypaunov functions existing in the literature. Their influence in the stabilization region (feasible area of stabilization) is shown through examples, the stabilization conditions of controller for discrete time T-S parametric uncertain systems is demonstrated with the variation of the lyapunov functions between (k, k+1) and (k, k+t) sample times. The controller gain can be obtained via solving several linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Through the examples and simulations, we demonstrate their uses and their robustness. Comparative study verify the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

New condition of stabilization for non linear Takagi-Sugeno discrete time uncertain system

Ali Bouyahya; Yassine Manai; Joseph Haggège

This paper deals with the control law design with state feedback, and give a new approach of stabilization of discrete time Takagi-Sugeno uncertain fuzzy system. Using non quadratic Lyapunov function, the new condition of stabilization is used in terms of linear matrix inequalities LMIs. By using the simulation we verify the robustness of this approach.

Observer design for Takagi-Sugeno discrete time uncertain systems

Ali Bouyahya; Yassine Manai; Joseph Haggège

This paper deals with the design of observer for discrete time uncertain systems. This observer design present a direct extension from discrete observer for Takagi-Sugeno systems. In this work two non quadratic Lyapunov functions were used. This paper show that a little change in the Lyapunov function form can give a large feasible area of solutions in term of linear matrix inequality. In addition, a stabilization condition of estimation error is given. Finally, numerical simulation is given to validate the developed approach.

New approach of stabilization for time-delay continuous Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy system

Yassine Manai; Mohamed Benrejeb

This paper deals with stabilization of continuous Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy models with time-delay based on a Parallel Distributed Compensation (PDC) controller design. Using fuzzy weighting-dependent Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals, new sufficient stabilization criteria are established in terms of Linear Matrix Inequality; hence the stability bound of upper bound delay time can be easily estimated. Finally, numeric simulation is given to validate the developed approach.
