Keiko Muro; Yasuo Kuwasawa; Masatsugu Aoki; Satoko Imai

The reduction of residential energy consumption is a very important issue. Housing plans with a combined living room and kitchen are becoming more common. It is impossible to disregard the influence of the heat of cooking on the indoor thermal environment and on the total cooling and heating load in the home. We conducted online questionnaire surveys to find out the actual conditions of cooking behavior and energy consumption. The results identified the main factors that influence cooking energy consumption and showed that differences in energy consumption varied depending on household characteristics.

Recently, not only running CO2 consumption but also initial CO2 reduction has been important. In Japan, LCCM (Life cycle carbon minus) is a keyword of sustainable buildings. In LCCM buildings, many efforts to reduce CO2 (such as high thermal insulation, high efficient equipment, and so on) are adopted and Photovoltaic system can return more amount of CO2 than CO2 which is consumed in buildings. According to such principal, LCCM demonstration house were built in 2011. We have checking the performance of this house by experimental residence.

PERFORMANCE EVALUATION AND METHOD OF PERFORMANCE EVALUATION TO ESTIMATE PRIMARY ENERGY CONSUMPTION ON DOMESTIC OIL-FIRED HEATING BOILER

Yozo Fujiwara; Hisashi Miura; Yasuo Kuwasawa

In order to consider performance and method of performance evaluation to estimate primary energy consumption on domestic oil-fired heating boiler,an experiment on 3 types of combustion(vapourizing, rotary spraying, and pressure spraying combustion),was performed. The following result were obtained:1)The performance evaluation of boiler was found no relationship with using antifreeze, setting water temperature, ambient temperature of boiler, and combustion air temperature. 2)The boiler efficiency for load factor was in the range of 60 to 85%. 3)As a result of experiment, the equation to estimate boiler efficiency for load factor was made out.

This study aims to found the basic data for promoting energy conservation policies by assessing the energy consumption in common space of apartment block. We investigated the actual electricity consumption in common use space of apartment houses. The data of electricity usage in common use space was collected from 1,345 apartment blocks (623,022 houses). We classified the apartment blocks by 1) year when administration had started, 2) number of floors, 3) number of houses, 4) water supply method and 5) number of elevators, in order to analyze the influences of those attributes on the electricity consumption. As a result, it became clear that the specific energy consumption of the apartment block differs significantly in the range from 42 kWh/year/house to 2,272 kWh/year/house, depending upon the abovementioned attributes.
