Considering the fuel supply situation and character of the single-cylinder diesel (SCD) engine limited in the structure and application in our country. We investigate the in-cylinder purification methods and theories of reducing the engine emissions based on H24 single cylinder diesel. The combustion chamber was redesigned and fuel injection system was optimized on the basis of investigating the emission results and analyzing the engine structure and the optimized prototype was tested under experiments. Provided that the power was constant, the emission of H24 diesel fits phase)of Chinese low-speed automotive diesel standard. The conclusion of this paper offer valuable technical literature for the study of low fuel consumption and emission single-cylinder fuel engine.

The combusition and emission simulation models are established with a CFD software on a small non-road air cool DI Diesel Engine fueled with bio-diesel and diesel. The expriment cylinder pressure curves are used to verifies the validity of the models. The simulation results show that the start of combustion time is advance 0.9°CA and the end of combustion is advance 2.5°CA at the same injection advance angle, the Nox emisson increases 17.6% and Soot emission reduces 44% when fueled with bio-diesel compared with diesel. NOx and Soot emission at injection advance angle 17°CA fueled with diesel is the same as injection advance angle 14°CA fueled with bio-diesel.

Tests were performed with a light-vehicle diesel engine. Four representative operating conditions in 1600r/min speed have been considered. The influence of injection pressure, injection timing, and multiple injection strategies on the diesel engine emission characteristics and fuel consumption has been investigated. The results show that low NOx and soot emissions can be obtained in the condition of pilot-injection and post-injection. Through optimize injection pressure, injection timing, and multiple injection strategies can get a better trade-off between emission and fuel consumption.

According to the requirements of national standards for mobile use diesel engine, this paper analyzed the characteristics of speed governor of the second-generation 186FA single-cylinder direct injection diesel engine. Using Pro/E software to establish the three-dimensional model of speed governor ball, the force of the speed governor was analyzed and calculated, and the force diagram of the diesel engines governor was obtained. In order to calculate the speed governing rate of the diesel engine, it showed a method to determine the position of governor speed control lever by loop fuel supply of the maximum speed non-load condition, which was calculated by mechanical loss. On this basis, it showed the design and calculation method for single-cylinder diesel engine oil corrector. By using this method it can accurately draw the value of correction stroke, starting enriched stroke, the maximum force of correcting spring, the pre-tightening force of starting spring.

The three dimensional flow field in the intake port of the non-road small spark-ignition engine was carried on the numerical simulation computation. Through the analysis of flow field, we studied how to reduce the mutations of intake port cross-section and improve the flow capacity of the intake port using numerical simulation method. After the parameter optimization, the gas flow increased to 31.24g/h from 27.84g/h under maximum valve lift, enhanced by 12.21%. Studies showed that there are two key points about optimization Design of small engines intake port, first, maintaining the flow of cross-sectional area of airway can prevent a sudden change on it and avoid the formation of dead air; second, handling the changes of structural in the corner.
