Dynamic quality characteristics modelling based on brittleness theory in complex manufacturing processes

To comprehensively and quantitatively analyse the influencing factors of dynamic quality characteristics in complex manufacturing processes, depending on the brittleness analysis of dynamic quality characteristics based on man–machine–environment influencing factors, this paper established a man–machine–environment brittleness model of dynamic quality characteristics based on the brittleness theory of complex system. According to the brittleness relation among the brittleness factors of dynamic quality characteristics (BFDQCs) in this model, a key man–machine–environment influencing factor identification method of dynamic quality characteristics was proposed by the definition of brittle risk degree, brittle coupling degree and brittle degree among BFDQCs. Finally, a case study for applicability was presented. The result showed that the proposed method was available, and can provide guidance for the analysis of dynamic quality characteristics and support for product reliability in complex manufacturing processes.

A system framework of inter-enterprise machining quality control based on fractal theory

In order to meet the quality control requirement of dynamic and complicated product machining processes among enterprises, a system framework of inter-enterprise machining quality control based on fractal was proposed. In this system framework, the fractal-specific characteristic of inter-enterprise machining quality control function was analysed, and the model of inter-enterprise machining quality control was constructed by the nature of fractal structures. Furthermore, the goal-driven strategy of inter-enterprise quality control and the dynamic organisation strategy of inter-enterprise quality improvement were constructed by the characteristic analysis on this model. In addition, the architecture of inter-enterprise machining quality control based on fractal was established by means of Web service. Finally, a case study for application was presented. The result showed that the proposed method was available, and could provide guidance for quality control and support for product reliability in inter-enterprise machining processes.

Fractal and mobile agent-based inter-enterprise quality tracking and control

To deal with the complicated problem of quality tracking and control for inter-enterprise in networked manufacturing environment, combined with the similarity of multilayer organization structure and work flow among core enterprise and member enterprises, a model framework based on fractal and mobile agent for inter-enterprise quality tracking and control (IeQTC) is proposed. With the aid of fractal idea, the complicated IeQTC is decomposed into multiple fractal mobile agent templates in which quality information is encapsulated. On this basis, a fractal process flow model of IeQTC is constructed and its process flow execution is built on fractal mobile agent (FMA), FMA templates as nodes of fractal process flow. By starting different FMA templates, a great deal of complex, dynamic and heterogeneous quality information could be captured and processed to realize the goal of IeQTC. This research reduces the difficult of IeQTC and lays foundation for the cooperative quality control of manufacturing process.

Quality Tracing and Control Information System for Extended Enterprise

With economies tending towards global uniformity, the traditional quality control in a single enterprise has to be innovated. Core competencies or leadership capabilities in quality control have to be strengthened by the complementary capabilities of partners for extended enterprise (E2). So how to establish an economic and effective quality tracing and control information system to trace and control quality of inter-enterprise has becoming one of the studying hotspots currently. In this paper, a quality tracing and control information system for extended enterprise (E2-QTCIS) is explored based on J2EE, and the quality information model of E2 by using product BOM and template technology is established. On this basis, the workflow model of quality tracing and control process and the workflow execution logic of tracing and control quality information nodes are constructed. Finally, a four-layer architecture of E2-QTCIS with network transparency and easy expandability is established. E2-QTCIS can capture all quality information quickly, accurately and wholly, and realize quality tracing and control of E2 dynamically.

Inter-enterprise Multi-processes Quality Dynamic Control Method Based on Processing Network

During the course of inter-enterprise processing network quality control, for judging and analyzing the others process quality influence of the abnormal process quality, especially key process quality influence, and servicing whole the multi-processes quality control course, the inter-enterprise multi-processes quality control method based on processing network by means of inter-enterprise quality control model based on fractal network is proposed. In the method, multi-processes processing network is constructed by process mapping, the key process can be figured out based on the analysis of processing network sensitivity. To the key process, depending on multi-processes cost function based on cost influence coefficient among processes, the method can establish the comprehensive optimizing object function including cost and error propagation. Depending on the optimum solution of the object function solved by genetic algorithm, the key process can correct to regulate and distribute the control parameters to decrease accumulative error, to avoid false alarm and misstatements originated from the abnormal process. This application course of method could be applied with a multi-processes manufacturing example.

A Quality Control Model for Extended Enterprises and Its Implementation

Along with the intensification of global competition and the complexity of manufacturing products, cooperation among enterprises becomes more intimately, and the range of quality control extends from internal to the external enterprises. Consequently, previous quality control methods for internal enterprise have been difficult to meet the demands of extended enterprises. To effectively realize the quality control of extended enterprises, it is necessary to research the quality control model which adapt to extended enterprise. To meet the demand of extended enterprises’ quality control, in this paper, on the basis of the fractal characteristic of quality control in extended enterprises, based on fractal method, combine with complex networks, quality control fractal network is established by constraint relationship among nodes and node. Base on quality control fractal network, quality control model is constructed by some methods to manipulate and operate node and constraint relationship. Finally, Based agent technology, the implementation method of quality control model is studied to meet the demand of quality control, and it can provide an approach to solve quality control problems for extended enterprises.

Dual-Core Embedded Real-Time Inspection and Analysis Platform for Field Quality Control and Application

Under the demands of powerful performance for field data measuring and controlling, an embedded data acquisition frame based on ARM+HPI+DSP is presented in this paper, by adopting HPI driver technology, the two cores are seamless connected in WinCE system frame. A method for manufacturing process oriented field quality data real-time acquisition and analysis is established by adopting event driven and multi-thread dispatch strategy. With this framework, a real-time acquisition and analysis system platform of field quality data is realized to meet the demands of processing quality control. The ability of real-time acquisition and analysis for field dynamic data is improved effectively.

Multi-agent Quality Tracking and Control for Interenterprise Based on a Fractal

To deal with the complicated quality tracking and control problem of interenterprise and meet the rapidly changing customer needs in networked manufacturing environment, combined with the similarity of multilayer organization structure and work flow among core enterprise and member enterprises, a multi-agent quality tracking and control model based on fractal for inter-enterprise is proposed. With the aid of fractal concept, the complicated quality tracking and control process of inter-enterprise could be decomposed into multiple quality tracking and control units which are also fractals. Each fractal consists of six function modules: fractal organizer, quality monitor, quality analyzer, quality controller and quality reporter. Using agent technology, each of these modules could autonomously cooperate and negotiate with others while processing its own jobs. By the interaction and negotiation activities of multiagent, quality tracking and control of inter-enterprise could be realized. The dynamic restructuring process (DRP) allows inter-enterprise quality tracking and control to be more efficient and effective by reconfiguring fractals. This research reduces the difficult of inter-enterprise quality tracking and control and lays foundation for the cooperative quality control of manufacturing process.
