Technical communique: Delay-range-dependent stability for systems with time-varying delay

This paper is concerned with the stability analysis for systems with time-varying delay in a range. An appropriate type of Lyapunov functionals is proposed to investigate the delay-range-dependent stability problem. The present results may improve the existing ones due to a method to estimate the upper bound of the derivative of Lyapunov functional without ignoring some useful terms and the introduction of additional terms into the proposed Lyapunov functional, which take into account the range of delay. Numerical examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness and the benefits of the proposed method.

Delay-dependent state estimation for delayed neural networks

In this letter, the delay-dependent state estimation problem for neural networks with time-varying delay is investigated. A delay-dependent criterion is established to estimate the neuron states through available output measurements such that the dynamics of the estimation error is globally exponentially stable. The proposed method is based on the free-weighting matrix approach and is applicable to the case that the derivative of a time-varying delay takes any value. An algorithm is presented to compute the state estimator. Finally, a numerical example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of this approach and the improvement over existing ones.

Fuzzy Weighting-Dependent Approach to

This correspondence is concerned with the Hinfin filter design for Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy systems with state-delay. A delay-dependent design method is proposed in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMI). The main contribution is the use of fuzzy weighting-dependent Lyapunov functionals which can reduce the conservatism arisen from the quadratic Lyapunov functional approach. An illustrative example is given to show the effectiveness of the present method

This paper is concerned with the problem of observer-based H~ fuzzy control design for Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy systems with time-delay. The main contribution is that an effective matrix decoupling technique is developed to derive a single-step LMI condition for observer-based H~ control design. This overcomes the drawback of two-step LMI approach in the literature. When restricted to delay-free fuzzy systems, the present result is shown less conservative than existing ones. An illustrative example is given to show the effectiveness of our results.

Filter Design for Time-Delay Fuzzy Systems

A master-slave synchronization scheme for Lure systems is studied for a known delay existing between master and slave systems. Based on the latest development of stability studies for time-delay systems, a new delay-dependent synchronization criterion is derived by the free-weighting matrix approach. The criterion shown by example is less conservative than the existing synchronization criteria.
