This paper discusses how the landscape assets could have been durable in the reconstruction of Meisho-Scenic Beauty-such as Giouji, Rakushisha, Enrian, in Sagano, Kyoto. The landscape characteristics of such scenic beauty is made by literary works, poetry, etc., And their images played an important role to reconstruct the Meisho and to inherit their historical landscape assets.

The Formation of the Landscape Area after Development in the Modern Era

This paper explains the process to form the landscape area in Modem Nanzenji Fukuchi-Cho. The main purpose of this study is to specify the wisdom given into this area when it was designed and started to grow up till prime landscape area For this purpose, following were examined: the transitions of land uses, the planning ofa path designed as the axis for next development, the each design contributing the structure of the area after the developments of residences. Finally the equipments which have worked to form the landscape area, and the timing of their installing were found.

Landscape of Gion-shrine & Juncture with Surroundings in Edo Era

This paper explains the composition of the region around Gion-shrine, Kyoto in Edo era. After an analysis of old pictures and documents made in Edo era, the structure of its landscape was appeared The close of Gion-shrine consisted of 4 parts; a main premise, a back wood, and two gates with each town before them. Tow axes penetrated into this whole region creating relation with the areas, in which particular activities were arouse. As a whole, this region could be regarded to play a role of an effective boundary harmonizing the down town and the environment of the mountain.
