Agricultural Worker Tracking and Gesture Recognition System for Remote Assistance

Abstract We have developed a worker tracking system and a lifting-and-turning gesture recognition system using a single PTZ camera, our original working uniform marked with four different red-blue combinative colors, the twin particle filters, and the Hidden Markov Model. In our experiments, we demonstrated that the proposed system robustly detected the postures and the symbol sequences in the lifting-and-turning gestures of a single worker observing from the three different directions of the front side, the left side, and the right side in real time and achieved a recognition rate of 92.5% in 120 validation data. The experimental results indicate that our developed system could be used as an agricultural worker tracking and a gesture recognition system for the remote assistance.

きのこ栽培室の設計にあたり空調機パワーの設定は, 従来では栽培者が経験的に見当をつけ設計していたのでパワー不足や過剰投資が起こった.本報ではより完全な環境制御を目指すため, これまでの研究成果に基づいて我々が開発したシミュレーションソフトを用いて, 最適設備投資計画と実践的制御の方法について検討した結果, 以下の結論を得た.1.栽培瓶数15万本クラスの標準的規模のきのこ栽培室 (長野市) で必要な最適設備投資をT.F.N.で表せば, 換気扇 (0.45, 0.55, 0.65) m3/s, 冷房機 (20.0, 21.0, 22.0) kW, 暖房機 (5.0, 8.0, 11.0) kW, 加湿器 (18.0, 19.0, 20.0) kg/hとなる.このとき, 空調機にインバータ機種を採用すれば, 通常の気温では運転経費を節約でき, 一時的なパワー不足にも対応できる.2.栽培室を常に22℃付近に維持することにこだわらず, 気象条件が特に厳しいときには19~25℃程度にあれば良いとすれば, 設備投資を縮小し冷暖房費を節約することができる.またこの時, 炭酸ガス濃度を4500ppm程度に維持することにこだわらず3000~6000ppmあれば良いと考えれば, 換気量の増減により室温を22℃程度に補正することも可能となる.

Moisture Distribution Image of Grain Layer Surface Using Multi-Wavelength near 970nm

Abstract In Japan because of high humidity, to preserve good quality of grain in silo, it is important to control not only the temperature but also the moisture. The purpose of this study is visualization of moisture distribution of grain layer surface using NIR image for rough rice. The 7 wavelengths near 970nm of water absorption band were selected. As the result, absorbance images of which average correlate with the moisture content were obtained for all the selected wavelengths and the difference image between the different wavelengths or image of secondary differentiation are being tried.
