-charm physics that will be explored during the next few years at \bes3 . Both theoretical and experimental issues are covered, including extensive reviews of recent theoretical developments and experimental techniques. Among the subjects covered are: innovations in Partial Wave Analysis (PWA), theoretical and experimental techniques for Dalitz-plot analyses, analysis tools to extract absolute branching fractions and measurements of decay constants, form factors, and CP-violation and \DzDzb-oscillation parameters. Programs of QCD studies and near-threshold tau-lepton physics measurements are also discussed.

Testing anomalous gauge couplings of the Higgs boson via weak boson scatterings at the CERN LHC

B. Zhang; Hong-Jian He; C. P. Yuan; Yu-Ping Kuang

We study the LHC signatures of new gauge bosons in the gauge-invariant minimal Higgsless model. It predicts an extra pair of W{sub 1} and Z{sub 1} bosons which can be as light as {approx}400 GeV and play a key role in the delay of unitarity violation. We analyze the W{sub 1} signals in pp{yields}W{sub 0}Z{sub 0}Z{sub 0}{yields}jj4l and pp{yields}W{sub 0}Z{sub 0}jj{yields}{nu}3ljj processes at the LHC, including the complete electroweak and QCD backgrounds. We reveal the complementarity between these two channels for discovering the W{sub 1} boson, and demonstrate the LHC discovery potential over the full range of allowed W{sub 1} mass.

Reexamination of the constraint on top-color-assisted technicolor models from R b

Chongxing Yue; Yu-Ping Kuang; X. F. Wang; Weibin Li

Abstract A general proof of the equivalence theorem in electroweak theories with the symmetry breaking sector described by the chiral Lagrangian is given in the R ξ gauge by means of the Ward-Takahashi identities. The precise form of the theorem contains a modification factor C mod associated with each external Goldstone boson similar to that in the standard model. C mod is exactly unity in our previously proposed renormalization scheme, Scheme-II .
