Semiconductor-cavity QED in high-Q regimes with q-deformed bosons

Yu-xi Liu; C. P. Sun; Sixia Yu; D. L. Zhou

The high-density Frenkel excitons, which interact with a single-mode cavity field, are investigated in the framework of the q-deformed boson. It is shown that the q-deformed bosonic commutation relations are satisfied naturally by the exciton operators in the high-density limit. An analytical expression of the physical spectra of the excitons is obtained by using the dressed states of the cavity field and the excitons. We also give the numerical study and compare the theoretical results with the experimental results.

Quantum decoherence of excitons in a leaky cavity with quasimode

Yu-xi Liu; C. P. Sun; Sixia Yu

We investigate the quantum decoherence of a mesoscopically superposed states of excitons in a quantum well placed within a leaky cavity. Based on the factorization theory of quantum dissipation, our investigation shows that the coherence of the superposed states of the excitons will decrease in an oscillating form when the cavity field is of the quasimode form. Regarding the effects of the thermal cavity fields on the quantum decoherence of the superposition states of the exciton: we observe that the higher the temperature of the environment, the shorter the decoherence characteristic time.

Normal ordering solution to quantum dissipation and its induced decoherence

G. R. Jin; D. L. Zhou; Yu-xi Liu; X. X. Yi; C. P. Sun

We implement the normal ordering technique to study the quantum dissipation of a single mode harmonic oscillator system. The dynamic evolution of the system is investigated for a reasonable initial state by solving the Schrodinger equation directly through the normal ordering technique. The decoherence process of the system for the cases T = 0 K and T not equal 0 K is investigated as an application.
