Tetrahedron Letters | 1989

Novel curvularin-type metabolites of a hybrid strain ME 0005 derived from Penicillium citreo-viride B. IFO 6200 and 4692

Sheng Lai; Yoshikazu Shizuri; Shosuke Yamamura; Kazuaki Kawai; Yukimasa Terada; Hideyuki Furukawa

Abstract In addition to curvularin and dehydrocurvularin, several new metabolites have been isolated from the mycelium of a hybrid strain ME 0005 derived from Penicillium citreoviride B. IFO 6200 and 4692, and their stereostructures have also been elucidated on the basis of some chemical evidence together with spectral data.

Tetrahedron Letters | 1987

Biomimetic reaction of germacrene-D epoxides in connection with periplanone A

Yoshikazu Shizuri; Shu Yamaguchi; Yukimasa Terada; Shosuke Yamamura

Abstract In order to elucidate the structure of periplanone A, which has been proposed by Persoons et al ., one of the two possible 7-methylene-4-isopropyl-12-oxatricyclo[4.4.2.01,5]- 9-dodecen-2-ones ( 2a ) has been synthesized from germacrene-D ( 4 ), giving some information on periplanone A.

Tetrahedron Letters | 1987

What is the correct structure for periplanone A

Yoshikazu Shizuri; Shu Yamaguchi; Yukimasa Terada; Shosuke Yamamura

Abstract The stereostructures of periplanone A and its rearrangement product have been elucidated on the basis of molecular mechanics calculations together with 1 H NMR spectral data.

Tetrahedron Letters | 1992

Stereochemistry of the brianolide acetate (solenolide D) by the molecular mechanics calculations

Jie-fei Cheng; Shosuke Yamamura; Yukimasa Terada

Abstract The stereostructures of the brianolide acetate( 2 ) and solenolide D( 4 ) have been shown to be the same based on the molecular mechanics calculations.

Tetrahedron Letters | 1990

Evaluation of two possible transition states in intramolecular oxetane/oxolane ring formation based on AM1 calculations

Shigeru Nishiyama; Shosuke Yamamura; Kuniki Kato; Masashi Nagai; Tomohisa Takita; Yukimasa Terada

Abstract AM1 calculations have been successfully carried out to evaluate relative stabilities of the two possible transition states (4-exo- and 5-endo-openings) in each intramolecular cyclization of four 3,4-epoxy alcohols, suggesting that two cis-epoxy alcohols give rise to the corresponding oxetanes while the tetrahydrofurans are only produced in the case of trans-epoxy alcohols.

Chemistry Letters | 1990

New metabolites of two hybrid strains ME 0004 and 0005 derived from Penicillium citreo-viride B, IFO 6200 and 4692

Sheng Lai; Yoshikazu Shizuri; Shosuke Yamamura; Kazuaki Kawai; Yukimasa Terada; Hideyuki Furukawa
