Cultivar Evaluation of Narcissus spp. Treated with Mulching for Bedding Plant in Central Area of Korea

This experiment was conducted to investigate the changes in growth in Narcissus during the winter with and without the presence of straw mulching. On top of flavoured or yellow Narcissus, many different colors, including white and orange, were found from introduced varieties. The growth difference in flowering time under straw mulching and non-mulching conditions was not found. However, survival rate varied among cultivars. Under both conditions, from Hardy I group, ‘Cum Laude’ and ‘Texas’ showed the survival rate of 100%, ‘Baby Moon’ survived 70%, and ‘Sir Winston Churchill’ did 50%.
